Azhagu serial - Magesh - Poorna fan fiction - Episode 28 - 08/10/2018

By this time, you all might have guessed our so called perfectionist Azhagu is nothing but a narcissistic individual who wants everyone to praise her so called "virtues", obey her rules, worship her like a God. If you follow these rules, you will be given a "Golden period" of love and praise in return. If not, you will be devalued, painted black and smeared as a villain. And we all know Ravi is her "Golden child" who will never do anything wrong in her eyes. But "Thaai 8 adi paanja, kutty 16 adi paayumam", so Ravi is the biggest narcissistic individual who exceeded Azhagu in that cadre. Under that calm, cool, charming exterior of Ravi, like all other narcissists, lies a creature of egoistical, rage filled,  zero EQ (Emotional Quotient) who will go to any length of manipulation to get what he wants. Pazhanisamy is Azhagu's flying monkey who will obey her rules, who will execute her rules, who will devalue the people who disobeys Azhagu. Not only Pazhanisamy, Thiruna, Kavya, Sudha are all her flying monkeys who will like the person Azhagu likes and who will dislike the person who Azhagu dislikes. Magesh used to be the flying monkey as well until by a divine intervention he was woken up. Needless to say, Poorna has been put inside the smear hut and is being smeared black with mud just because she is not obeying the rules of Azhagu. Alright, I feel better now since I got this out of my chest. :-) Lets continue with our story. 

Poorna was feeling bit down after her interaction with Ravi couple of days ago in mottai maadi. She wondered "All I wanted from the man who I loved was an apology or an explanation to bring closure to our 25 years of relationship, how could he put me down for being happy with Magesh? Does he have any idea how confused I'm? What kind of emotions I face everyday? Who can answer me? Who can give me closure? Who can give me reassurance that what I feel for Magesh is the true love? Who can assure me that he will stay by my side till my death unlike Ravi?" She didn't attend Magesh calls nor did she reply to his texts. Magesh had this lingering doubt that his wife has gone back to her shell once again. He wanted to know if there is any way that he can help her to come out of her stress, come out of her doubts, but being this distant and that too when his wife doesn't even attend his calls made him helpless. But he wasn't hopeless. He always knew it is not going to be easy to earn Poorna's trust because of what happened to her. He knew it will take time. And he also knew that one day she will start to believe so much so that she will share her worries with him. But he just thought it will be easier for him and for her if both are near by each other. 

On the other hand, Sudha was also feeling down and wasn't herself and didn't come out of her room much. She didn't do many house chores as she used to. She is so confused on what to do next. She felt burdened as her next action or inaction can change not only her life, but of Ravi, Poorna and Magesh. "Ravi solra madiri Ravi-yoda vaazha arambichitta, Poorna Magesh-oda santhoshama irukka arambippaala? Aana Ravi ivlo naal Poorna-va paathale aagathungura madiri iruntharu, but nethu ennavo ava mela innum feelings irukkira madiri pesuraru. Ipdi irukkum pothu ennala epdi Ravi-yoda life-a start panna mudiyum? Athoda illama Surendhar-a maranthutu epdi avlo seekiram Ravi-yoda irukka mudiyum? First ellam kutty paiyanukaga thaan kalyanam sonnaru, athu realistic-a illana kooda at least neraiya time irukku, ellathaiyum accept pannitu oru lifea start panna innum neraiya time irukkunu ninachen. But ippo ennadanna ivlo pressure-a irukke, Ravi-ya purinjukave mudiyalaye". 

Ravi was waiting for a chance to speak with Poorna so that he can concede his creature and manipulate her. But since she wasn't out of her room as much, he couldn't have that chance. Finally after two days, he got hold of her in the garden. Poorna wanted to stay away from him, so she tried to walk fast. But then Ravi blocked her path. "Enna? Annaiku kuduthathu pathalaiya?" asked Poorna angrily. 

"Illa Poorna, pathala, oru arai illa, innum neraiya murai nee ennai araiyanum, nee romba late-a aranjutta, munnadiye nee ennai ipdi aranju irunthanna enakku buthi theliva aagi irukkom" his voice broke down. He pretended to be wiping his tears. 

Poorna didn't buy. She was waiting for the catch. 

"Naan annaiku unkitta pesinathukaga mannippu kettukiren, annaiku pesinathukku mattum illa, Sudha-va kapathartha ninachu unakku throgam panninathukagavum mannippu kettukiren, ennai mannichidu Poorna" said Ravi in broken voice.

Poorna was standing with a straight face. 

Ravi suddenly bent down on her feet and said "Sorry Poorna" and he left immediately.

Poorna was shocked and bit moved by now, she didn't look angry.

Ravi watched this afar and smirked. "It worked, good."

Ravi came to the bedroom and looked at Sudha who was in some thinking laying down in the bed. Sudha got alerted by Ravi's touch. He had a balm and applied it on Sudha's forehead. "Enna Sudha? Thalaiya valikutha?"

"Lesa thaan Ravi, sari agidum"

"Yen rendu naala oru madiri irukka?"

"Illa, athellam onnum illa...."

Ravi took a sigh. Sudha looked at him "Neenga yen Ravi oru madiri irukeenga?"

"Illa, onnum illa, nee ennamo yosichutu irukka, aana enkitta share pannika matengura, unmela entha thappum illa Sudha, naan thaan unakku nambikkai tharala innum-nu puriyuthu"

"Ayyo Ravi, apdi ellam onnum illa, sila samayam konja neram amaithiya irunthale namakku konjam thelivu vanthudum, athanala thaan amaithiya irukken, ungakitta solla koodathunu ellam illa"

"Ok Sudha, onnum problem illa, unakku thonuchuna I'm here to listen, take care"

Ravi turned around and started to sleep. Sudha felt bad. "Cha, avarukkum kashtama thaana irukkum, manasu vittu pesakooda aal illayenu feel panraru pola".

Ravi gave Sudha some space intentionally. Sudha started to grow some feelings for him.

Whenever Ravi and Poorna cross their path, Ravi looked sad and apologetic. It bothered Poorna, so she asked him straightly. "Ravi athan, yen oru madiri irukeenga?"

Ravi thought to himself, "Paravalla munna madiri athaan-nu solra, so namma nadippu work aaguthu".

"Athu athu vanthu, onnum illa Poorna"

"Paravalla athan sollunga, yen oru madiri irukeenga?"

"Illa unna paakavo, pesavo enakku asingama irukku, un manasa purinjukama naan unna romba kashta paduthiten"

Poorna didn't know what to say. After few minutes, she said "Sari, athukenna ippo, ivlo naala illama ippo yen thideernu sogama irukeenga?"

"Munnadi naan unna purinjukala, yetho buthi kettu poi thimira irunthuten, ippo ellathukum serthu vachu anubavikkiren"

Poorna was wondering if he and Sudha are still not on good terms. Is that why he looks so broken? But still she doesn't understand how come he was so arrogant until a week ago and now so remorseful. Even to have a heart to heart conversation with him, she has to trust him first. And she had a hard time trusting him, his stories or apologies. But that didn't stop her being sympathetic when he looked sad though. On the process of understanding his woes, she was actually trying to understand herself. She was trying to understand why she feels sorry for a guy who betrayed her.

"Ippo pazhasa pesi enna aaga poguthu?"

"Hmm...nee pesa aasa pattapo naan pesa readya illa, ippo naan manasu vittu pesi en kaayathuku marunthu podanunu ninakum pothu nee pesanunu edir paakarthu thappu thaan Poorna"

"Apdi enna pesanunu ninakireenga? Ungaluku enkitta manasu vittu pesanunu thonuchuna pesunga, aana neenga solla pora vishayam epdi nu enakku teriyala, ennai kova paduthalam, illa kova paduthama kooda irukkalam, so athu ennala guarantee-ya solla mudiyathu, but neenga pesanunu ninacha pesunga"

"Neeyum, Mageshum santhoshama irukeenga illa?"

"Ippo ethuku engala pathi pesureenga? Ungaluku enna kashtam? Athai pathi mattum pesunga?"

"Ithu thaan Poorna en kavalai ellam, neeyum Mageshum unmaiyave santhoshama irukeenganu terinja naan nimmathiya iruppen, illana naan epdi nimmathiya irukka mudiyum?"

Poorna looked at him deeply. "Ivara nambi naama yen enakkum, Mageshukumana urava pathi pesanum?"

Poorna used to wear her heart on her sleeve once upon a time. But she is getting wiser now. Betrayal, hurt usually make a person stronger than ever and also make them think twice about their moves. So she was silent.

"Enna Poorna? Ethuvume pesa matengura? Neeyum Mageshum santhoshama irukeenga thaana?" Ravi asked again looking at Poorna deeply, trying to analyse her eyes and body language if she gives away anything.

Poorna also wanted to say yes just to put a full stop for this conversation. But she got the glimpse of Ravi's deep look at her eyes and body language and it made her nervous. She warned herself "No Poorna, vendam, ivana nambi ethuvume sollatha, just move away from him".

Ravi by now changed his look and acted sad and concerned.

Poorna "Maranthuten, tea vachutu vanthen, totala maranthuten, itho varen". She left that place.

Ravi thought to himself "Avlo samarthiyama nee? Enkitta irunthu badhil sollama escape aagura alavuku buthi vanthuducha unakku? En nadippu pathala pola irukku, scene-la Magesh illa illa, avanum varattum, apram irukku di unakku".

Ravi walked happily to Sudha. "Enna Ravi, romba naal aana madiri irukku ungala ipdi paathu? Enna vishayam santhoshama irukkira madiri irukku?".

"Mmm...athellam onnum illa" he walked away with a smile.

Sudha thought to herself "Enna thideernu santhoshama irukaru".

She followed him to the room and saw Ravi humming some song. She asked him again "Enkitta solla mateengala?"

"Hey athu thaan onnum illa solrane" said Ravi and walked away from her.

Poorna was having some tea in the dining table. Ravi went to the dining table and called Sudha "Sudha, enakku oru tea thaayen".

"Ah...itho varen" came Sudha seeing Poorna and Ravi together in the dining table.

When Sudha came with the tea, Ravi said "Poorna evening unkitta pesina piragu, ennamo teriyala, manasukku konjam themba irukku".

Poorna looked at him and Sudha and walked away. "Ivan enna loosa? Apdi enna naama pesittom, ivan themba aagarthuku? Apdiye ivanuku themba iruntha kooda atha ethuku correcta Sudha varum pothu solraan? Mmhmm...ennamo sari illa"

Sudha overheard this and got worried. "Evening Poorna kooda pesineengala?"

Ravi happily took a sip of tea and said "Tea romba nalla irukku Sudha"

Sudha asked again "Enna pesuneenga rendu perum?"

"Just normala pesittu irunthom, yen Sudha?"

"Illa onnum illa, ungala paathale kova paduvale, innaiku ninnu pesi irukkanu solreengale, athaan ketten"

"Mmm...sari intha tea cup, enakku konjam bajji, vadai yedhavathu senju thariya? Lesa pasikkuthu, naan namma roomla irukken" said Ravi and pat on her cheek and left.

"Enna ivaru? Pidi kuduthe pesa matenguraru? Evening ellam santhoshama vera iruntharu..."

"Sari, avar ketta madiri snacks yedhavathu senju kuduthutu pechu kuduthu paakalam"

Sudha went to the bedroom with some snacks. Ravi was playing with Appu. "Sudha, kutty paiyana paathiya, pen kuduthathum epdi drawing panrannu?"

"Amam Ravi ippo ellam creative-a yedhavathu pannite irukkaan" said Sudha happily.

"Hey kutty paiya, amma paaru, ammavuku kiss kudu, apdi thaan" Ravi was playing with kutty paiyan and brought him to Sudha to give her a kiss. Meanwhile he caressed Sudha's cheeks and moved the hair from her face. "Ennada romba tireda irukka?"

Sudha felt some butterflies in her stomach. "Illa Ravi, paravalla, ungalukagavum, namma familykagavum thaana velai paakuren, athu tireda irunthalum enakku santhosham thaan".

Sudha noticed Ravi is in good mood. So she opened up again "Ravi, innaiku santhoshama irukeengale, Poorna ungakitta mariyathaiya pesinala?"

"Sudha please, ethuku eppo paathalum avala pathiye pesittu irukka? Naama rendu perum irukkum pothu nammala pathi mattum pesu. Thevai illama pesatha" said Ravi annoyingly.

Sudha started to feel guilty. "Cha naama thaan arivillama santhega pattu pesittoma? Ippo thaan konjam santhoshama irukkaru, athuvum kutty paiyan kooda evlo jollya vilayaduraru, enkittayum anba irukkaru, apdi irukkum pothu, thevai illama naan ethuku avala pathi pesinen" she scolded herself.

"Sorry Ravi"

"Un sorry ellam onnum vendam, sorry-ku badhil...." Ravi winked at Sudha.

Sudha doesn't know how to feel about this. It is true she is growing feelings for Ravi slowly, but getting physical is bit hard for her. She doesn't want to move in so quickly in this department. Something seemed to be bothering her about Ravi.

Ravi saw her thinking deeply and tried to change the conversation. "Hey romba yosikkatha, naan chumma kindaluku thaan sonnen, unakkum enakkum thaan teriyume, ithu kutty paiyanukaga pannina kalyanam, kaalam pooram naan Bramachary thaana?" he laughed.

Sudha couldn't laugh. "Illa Ravi, enakku konjam time venum?"

"Ethuku Sudha?"

"Athu thaan, antha madiri vishayangaluku?"

"Hey loosa nee? Antha madiri vishayam nadakka thaan vaippe illanu enakku teriyume, apram nee ethuku feel panra?" Ravi turned around and started to play with Appu. Sudha started to feel so guilty.

Poorna was thinking to herself. "Konja naal Ravi athaan sogama irukartha paathathum namakku manasu kashtama aagiduchu, avar pannina thappu ellam perusa teriyama avara mannichutta madiri pesurom, athaan-nu solli kooptom, avarum Sudha-voda santhoshama irukkanunu ninakirom, yen ipdi ellam? Avarum Sudhavum santhoshama irukkanunu ennala eppadi ninaika mudiyuthu? Enakku avar mela innum feelings irukka? Feelings iruntha avar Sudhavoda santhoshama irukkanunu eppadi nammalala ninaika mudiyum? Kandippa feelings illa, yenna avaruku mariyathai kudukka thaan Athaan-nu kooptane thavira mathapadi pazhaiya anboda koopidala. Avar pannina throgatha ninachu ninachu azhuthathu pothum, poi tholaiyuthunu mannichutana? Illa vera yedhavathu karanama?"

Poorna got the call from Magesh while she was thinking this. She became so happy to see his name and attended the call quickly.

Poorna said "Hello"

"Hello Madam, epdi irukkeenga?"

"Mmm nallave illa"

"Hey yen, enna aachu?"

"Pinna eppo paathalum madam, madam solreenga"

"Mm naalanju naala call pannina edukkala, en msg-ku reply-um illa, nee epdi irukkanu pattum padamalum, appavuku call panni kettu terinjukira kashtam enakku than teriyum, ipdi iruntha ungala Madam thaan solla mudiyum" Magesh gave back.

Poorna didn't know what to say as she knows the mistake is on her side. She can't argue with him now. She was struggling what to say next.

"Enna Madam thirumba mauna viradhama? Unakku mattum thaan kochikka teriyuma? Enakkum kochikka teriyum, kochikarthu mattum illa semaiya kovamum varum, en kovatha nee paathathu illaiye? paused Magesh.

Magesh said the following with an angry and serious tone "Innaikum call attend pannama irunthiruntha nee en kovatha paathiruppa, marubadiyum unakku naan calle pannirukka maten".

Poorna got bit shocked at Magesh's tone and his sentence that he wouldn't have called her ever. She thought to herself "Enakku thirumba calle pannirukka mattara? Apdi enna periya thappu panniten naan? Call attend pannama, reply pannama irunthathu thappu thaan, athukaga eppavume calle pannirukka matenu solrathu entha vidhathula niyayam? Apdina enmela ivarukku anbe illanu thaana artham? Enakku evlo kashtam irukku, kuzhappam irukku, kavalai irukku, yaara nambarthu, namba koodathunu confusinga irukku, ithellam ivarukku enga puriya poguthu, ivarukku enna kashtam, naan evlo depressing situation-la irunthu velila vanthutu irukkenu purinjukama kova paduraru, calle panna maataram, pannatina po, Magesha kooda nambathanu appapo en manasatchi sollum, naan thaan kekkama appapo unna nambiduren, enakku ithuvum venum, ithukku melayum venum".

Poorna got upset and didn't say anything.

"Hello....hello...." Magesh kept trying to talk to Poorna, but she didn't reply anything.

Magesh got frustrated and disconnected the call and threw his mobile on the bed. "Cha daily evlo velai, alachal irunthalum Poornakitta pesa porenu santhoshama varuven, aana iva ennadanna en calla ithanai naala attend pannavum illa, innaiku attend pannitu pesavum illa, apdi enna naan thappa solliten, ava pannina thappa thaana sonnen".

Poorna stood still for few minutes in the realization that her husband disconnected the call angrily. It hurt her so much so that she burst into tears and started crying lying on the bed. She must have been crying for 30 minutes or so.

Poorna saw the photo frame with the picture of her and Magesh taken on their wedding day on the bedside table. She took it in her hand and said "Enakku teriyum, 25 varusham love panninavane ennai oru nimishathula thooki pottutu vera oruthi kazhuthula thaali kattitan, vera vazhi illama kalyanam panninavan thaana nee, unakku enna pidikathunu enakku teriyum, mogam 30 naal, aasai 60 naal-nu solluvanga, antha kanakkula thaan nee enkitta pesittu irunthanu enakku teriyum, enmela unakku paasame illa, unmaiya paasam irunthiruntha enkitta ivlo kova patrupiya? Enakku konja naal time venunu sollirunthen thaana naan? Ippo ennadanna naalanju naal call attend pannalanu solli kova padura? Kova patta kooda paravalla, inimel calle pannirukka matenu solra? Apdina enkitta pesama unnala irukka mudiyum, apdi thaana?" Poorna was weeping and got distracted by the sound of her mobile tone. She took it and saw Magesh's name. "Ippo ethuku call panraan? Thirumba enkitta kovapadurathuka? avanuku mattum thaan kova pada teriyuma?" she attended the call, wiped away her tears, all ready to vent out her anger on Magesh.

Magesh said "Sorry".

Poorna heard the sorry and got melted. "Onnum vendam" said in her low voice.

Magesh thought to himself "Azhuthu irupalo, voice konjam kara karannu irukku" and got angry on himself.

"Yen vendam?"

"Unga sorry enakku vendam"

"Athaan yen-nu kekkuren?"

"Thevai illa"

"Enmela kovama?"

"Unga mela kova pada enakku enna urimai irukku? Athuvum illama, naan kova padalama? Kova padura urimaiya neenga thaana kuthagaiku eduthu vachu irukeenga"

"Athuku thaan sorry solren illa"

"Unga sorry thaan enakku vendanu solrane"

Magesh became silent for few minutes. Poorna was getting worried thinking to herself "Romba overa pannitoma? Silenta agittare".

"Hello??" Poorna checked if Magesh is still in line in low voice.

Magesh replied "Mmm sollu". His voice was bit tired and low. Poorna was really worried now. "Varuthama irukkaru polave, epdi samathana padutharthu, naama vera romba overa kova pattutom". She thought for few seconds.

Poorna opened up "Naanum sorry"

"Ethuku?"

"Naalanju naala unga call attend pannama, reply pannama irunthathuku"

"Its ok da" said Magesh still in low voice.

"Innum enmela kovama?" asked Poorna.

"Illa da, unmela kovam illa, enmela thaan kovam"

"Yen?"

"nee naalanju naal pesala, enakku romba kashtama irunthuchu, atha naan unkitta express panninathu correct thaan, but athukaga innaiku call attend pannalana calle pannirukka matenu sonnathu thappu, athanala thaan enmelaye enakku kovam"

"Amam neenga apdi sonnathu thappu thaan, enakkum pidikala, athukku naanum sethu vachu unga mela kova paduren, but innaiku illa, innoru naal, innaiku ivlo kovam, sandai pothum, neenga konjam cheer up aagunga"

"Sari, naan onnu ketta unmaiya solluviya?"

"Mmm kelunga"

"Azhuthiya?"

Poorna was silent for few seconds.

"Sollu da, azhuthiya?"

"Naan azhutha ungaluku enna? azhalanna enna? Romba paasam madiri nadikka vendam"

"En anbu, paasam ellam unakku nadippu madiri teriyutha?"

Poorna don't know what to say. Deep down, Poorna is learning that she can trust Magesh. But since she hasn't healed fully from her past wounds and she doesn't really understand her own self 100%, she feels like she is not even able to trust her own self, let alone trust another man, even if that another man is her own husband. But whatever her trust issues are, she knows Magesh's caring towards her is true.

"illa" she replied.

"Apram?" asked Magesh.

"Enna apram?"

"Apdina sollunu solren, azhuthiya?"

"Amam da Azhuthen, athukku enna ippo" said Poorna annoyingly and realized only few seconds later that she referred him as "da". She bit her tongue.

On the other side, Magesh was shocked in a good way and tried his best to control his laugh and happiness of being called "da" by his wife.

Poorna thought "Achacho enna solla porano teiryalaye, kochittu irupano? Pinna enna summa azhuthiya azhuthiyana enna artham? Ivar mela apdiye kadhal vanthuduchu, ivar call panna matenu sonnathum feel panni azharthuku, intha madiri chumma thondi thuruvi ketta da sollama vera enna solluvangalam, but onnume pesa matengurane, ithukkum naan thaan samathana paduthanuma? Innaiku enna aachu Poorna unakku, yen ivlo sodhappala pesi maatikira?"

Magesh cleared his throat and asked "Madam enna sonneenga?"

Poorna acted bit brave and replied "Enna sonnen? Neenga ketta kelviku badhil sonnen"

"Nalla badhil thaan, aana "da"-nu sonniye atha nee en pakkathula irukkum pothu solli irukkanum...."

"Yen enakenna bayama?"

"Illaiya pinna?"

Poorna thought "Ivan enna challenge panrana? Kova padurana? Sirikirana? Pakkathula irukkum pothu da sonna enna pannirupan, adichu irupano? Enna solla varaan? Onnume puriyalaye".

She again pretended to be brave and said "Enakku enna bayam? Athellam oru bayamum illa, neenga inga kula deivam koil functionku varuveenga illa, appo unga munnadiye solren, yen ellar munnadiyum venalum solren".

"Amma thaaye, ellar munnadiyum ellam sollatha, thairiyam iruntha naama rendu perum thaniya irukkum pothu sollu" Magesh said with a smile and in a teasing tone.

Slowly Poorna was realizing what Magesh really means and her cheeks turned red.

After few minutes of silence, Magesh said "Calle panna matenu sonnathellam chumma utharu, daily unkitta pesalaanu aasaiya call panni nee attend pannalaye apdingura kovathula sonnathu, but nammalala ellam wife kitta pesama irukka mudiyathu ma, athaan udane call panninathulaye purinju irukkume, unakku un space venum, time venuna, just send me a msg that you need some time to be alone, then I won't disturb you, enakkum romba kashtama illama irukkum, illana yen en chellam enkitta pesalanu feel pannite iruppen, okva?"

Poorna felt relieved and said "Mmm sari".
