Azhagu serial - Magesh - Poorna fan fiction - Episode 17 - 23/08/2018

There is still 10 more days to go for the thaali pirichu kokura function. Magesh was also planning for his holidays, by the time he travels back to Chennai, he would have completed one month in his first job and would have got his first salary. When it comes to work, Magesh is sincere and will give it the first priority. He noticed whenever he calls Poorna, the next day or so, his mind wanders back to her and he couldn't concentrate on work. That is another reason why he didn't call her much. Meanwhile at Pazhanisamy's home, there were some tension around expenses due to Kavya's legal case, councelling, her medical seat bribery, Thiruna's college fees and the loan they had to return back, etc, etc. Azhagu was trying to come up with a sensible budget, but it wasn't an easy task with Ravi's salary and Pazhanisamy's salary. She had to allocate most of the Ravi's salary to pay back the loan they got for Kavya, her councelling sessions, her legal cases. She tried to use Pazhanisamy's salary for grocery, bills and Sudha's son expenses. Azhagu thought Poorna is eating without any consideration for others. She wouldn't have minded Poorna's sudden increase in appetite and consumption of food if it was any other time, but now they had lot of unexpected expenses and she thought Poorna could be more considerable. Although Poorna had a bit of an idea that something is going on with Kavya and they are struggling for money, she didn't want that to stop her eating. If it was old Poorna or even if Azhagu was considerate of her feelings, Poorna would have helped out with her savings or borrowing from her mother. But for people like Azhagu who never shown any compassion towards Poorna, she wanted to be as selfish as possible to teach them a lesson.

For Magesh and Poorna though, the days were passing slowly and finally coming Friday is thaali pirichu kokura function.

On Wednesday evening. Azhagu and Sudha were writing the grocery list for the next month. Ravi was playing with Sudha's son. "Amma, intha puliyotharai powder, paruppu podi, lemon rice powder ellam list-la irunthu remove pannidalam ma".

"Illa Sudha, appapo puli sadham, lemon rice ellam panna vasadhiya irukkum"

"Pannalam ma, aana athuku intha powder ellam kandippa irukanunu avasiyam illa, oru 5 mins extra spend pannina scratch-la irunthu naamale pannikalam, ithellam value added products ma, ithellam remove panrathu moolama antha panatha naama healthy-ana porutkal vaanga use pannikalam"

"Sari Sudha, apram list-la...." continued Azhagu.

Poorna came downstairs "Enna Sudha, Grocery list-a?"

Azhagu and Sudha looked at each other. Sudha replied "Amam Poorna"

"Badam paruppu 1kg add panniko, pista oru 500g add panniko, dates 500g add panniko, apram....sari enakku ithu pothum" 

Azhagu said "Poorna, naama enna nilamaila irukkonu unakke teriyum, intha madiri time-la intha expensive things ellam venuma sollu? namma nilamai sari aagattum, apram ithellam vaangalam"

Poorna asked "Naama enna nilamaila irukkom athai?"

"Yen unakku teriyatha?"

"Sonna thaana teriyum"

"Kavya-vuku vaanguna kadana ellam adaikanum"

"Nalla adachukonga, athukaaga naan healthya sapidama irukka mudiyuma?"

Ravi got angry. "Poorna, ennavo nee sambaricha kaasula sapidura madiri pesatha". Sudha interwined "Ravi please, konjam amaithiya irunga".

"Sudha naan pesum pothu nee kurukka pesama iru" 

Poorna said "Amam Sudha nee amaithiya iru, Ravi pesattum, enna sonna Ravi? naan sambaricha kaasunna thaan pesanuma? Naanum intha veetula oru marumaga thaan nabagam irukkattum"

Ravi said "Neeyum intha veetula marumaga thaan, Sudhavum marumaga thaan, aana unakku aagura selavayum, Sudhavuku aagura selavayum compare panni paaru, ava evlo poruppa irukkaanu teriyum".

Poorna was becoming furious. "Yen Sudha paiyana vittuteenga? Avan intha veetu vaarisa? Avanuku evlo selavu aagathunnu paatha Sudha marumagala vida, Poorna marumagaluku selavu kammi-nu teriyum".

Ravi talked back "Sudhavukum, enga kutty paiyanukum sethu naan sambarichu kudukkiren, ithana varushama un purushane en sambathiyathula chumma ukkanthu saptavan thaan, ippo unakkum sethu  naan thaan saapadu poduren, nee sapidura cashew, badam, pista ellam naan sambaricha kaasula vanthathungura maranthudatha, unakku ellam Sudha-va pathiyo, kutty paiyana pathi pesavo thaguthiye kidaiyathu".

Poorna got dumbstruck, her eyes were filled with tears, she ran upstairs, packed few clothes, went to Vasantha's place. 

Sudha angrily yelled at Ravi "Enna Ravi, neenga yen ipdi panreenga?". Ravi walked away from her.

On the way to Vasantha's place, Poorna decided not to tell anything about this to Vasantha. "Ketta chumma vanthenu sollikalam". She wiped away her tears. 

Azhagu was telling Sudha "Ravi appa vanthu Poorna enga-nu ketta Vasantha-oda rendu naal irukka poirukka, thaali pirichu kokura function annaiku vanthuduvanu sollikalam, naan poi avala samathana paduthi kootitu vanthuduren".

Sudha nodded. 

Within an hour after Poorna leaving, Pazhanisamy returned from work, Thiruna and Kavya also returned back. Magesh came from Kodaikanal. Azhagu got shocked as no one knew about Magesh's arrival except Vasantha. "Vaa Magesh, epdi pa irukka?" asked Azhagu.

"Naan nalla irukken ma, neenga ellam epdi irukeenga?"

Pazhanisamy came and hugged Magesh. "Vaa pa, vanthu ukkaru, Azhagu poi Magesh-ku oru tea eduthutu vaa".

"Illa pa irukkattum, naan poi konjam refresh pannitu varen" he said looking upstairs eagerly. 

Pazhanisamy understood Magesh's intentions, but he doesn't know yet that Poorna has gone to Vasantha's place. "Ok pa, nee poi refresh agittu vaa".

Magesh walked, almost ran upstairs to his room with his luggage. Poorna wasn't in the room, he searched in the balcony, no sign of Poorna. He knocked on the bathroom door just to be safe "Poorna?". No response. He slowly opened the bathroom door, no sign of her. "Enga aala kaanum?". He went and checked in the mottai maadi. He got disappointed. "Oru velai aththaiya paaka poirupaalo?". He called Vasantha. "Aththai Poorna anga irukkala?". "Amam pa, inga thaan vanthirukka" said Vasantha in low voice so that Poorna won't hear her. "Ok athai, irukkatum, naan vanthu paakuren, avakitta edhuvum sollatheenga". "Ok pa" said Vasantha.

"Sari konja neram amma, appakitta pesittu Poorna-va paaka polam"

He got refreshed, went downstairs and was chatting for a while. He gave 50,000 rupees to Pazhanisamy. "Inthanga pa, yedhavathu selavuku vachukonga". Pazhanisamy's eyes filled with happy tears. "Santhoshama irukku Magesh, aana ivlo panam ethuku pa, unakkum Poornavukum thevai padum, neenga ippo than life-a start panreenga".

"Irukattum pa, ivlo varusham neengalum, Raviyum evlavo kashtapattu kudumbatha paathukiteenga, ippo unga sumai-ya konjam naan share pannikuren, avlo thaan"

"Irunthalum, unga selavuku?"

"Appa, enga selavukkum irukku, itha neenga vachukonga"

Azhagu, Ravi and Sudha looked at each other. 

At Vasantha's place, Poorna stayed in her room crying. On the other end at Pazhanisamy's place, Magesh went upstairs and thought he will pretend like being in Kodaikanal as usual and messaged Poorna.

"Saptacha? 5kg nabagam irukkattum" 

Poorna wiped her tears seeing this message. "5kg ellam too much, neenga sapteengala?"

"Inimel thaan, nee epdi irukka?"

"Innum sapidalaya, yen sapidala?"

"Konja neram kazhichu sapidanum, nee ok thaana?"

Poorna didn't reply anything, her vision was blurred by her tears.

Poorna's lack of response about her well being to Magesh alerted him, he thought something must have upset Poorna as she is not her usual self today while texting. So he had an urge to go and see her immediately to make sure she is alright. 

Pazhanisamy called Magesh "Sapida vaa pa".

"Illa pa, enakku pasikala, neenga ellam sapidunga" Magesh left fast. 

Pazhanisamy meanwhile came to know that Poorna has gone to Vasantha's place, so he was happy that Magesh has gone fast to see her.

Magesh reached Vasantha's place. "Vaa Magesh, epdi pa irukka?"

"Nalla iruken athai, neenga epdi irukeenga?"

"Nanum nalla irukken pa, iru Poorna-va koopida solren, Selvi nee poi Poorna-va...."

"Athai irunga irunga, Poorna nalla irukalla, ok thaana?"

"Nalla thaan pa irukka, nee yen padhattama kekkura, onnum illa athai, chumma thaan ketten"

"Evening vanthapo konjam dulla iruntha, ethavathu problema nu ketten, athuku athellam onnum illa-nu solli ennai jollya hug pannitu thaan maadiku pona, santhoshama iruntha thaan apdi hug pannuva, aana nee padhatta paduratha paatha....."

"Ayyo athai, onnum illa, chumma than ketten, sari ava yedhavathu saptala?"

"Evening tea kudichu snacks sapta, dinner-ku koopidalanu ninachen, athukulla nee vanthuta"

"Ok athai, enna tiffin?"

"Idly panniruken, unakku vera yedhavathu venuma Magesh?"

"Illa athai, neenga thappa ninachukalana, naanum Poornavum maadila ava room-la saptukirom"

"Ithula naan enna pa thappa ninaka poren, tharalama sapidunga"

Magesh took a plate and filled it with 8 idlys, chutney and podi, covered it with another plate and took it to upstairs. He knocked on Poorna's room, no reply, he slightly opened the door, Poorna was lying on the bed. Her face was on the other side. He slowly called her "Poorna?". No reply. "Thoongitaala?".

He went around, placed the plate on the top of the bedside drawer. Poorna's cheeks showed the sign of her tears, the mobile was on her palm. Magesh slowly touched her cheeks and felt the wetness from her tears. He thought to himself "Ennavo sari illa". He cautiously caressed her cheeks and hair. Poorna slowly opened her eyes, but not fully, saw Magesh, closed her eyes again. Magesh called her slowly seeing her opening her eyes "Poorna? Poorna? Sapidama thoonga koodathu, konjam saptutu thoongu".

Poorna opened her eyes half and closed again and mumbled along these lines "Po Magesh, eppo paathalum kanavula vanthu sapidu, sapidu-nu solluva". She turned around to the other side. Magesh got a smile. "Kanava?" he thought. 

He went to the other side of the bed, sat and stretched his legs on the bed, admired Poorna while she sleeps. Third time, Poorna opened her eyes and saw Magesh, she couldn't think it was a dream anymore. She wiped her eyes and got up and freaked out. "Hey bayapadatha, bayapadatha, naan thaan oorla irunthu vanthirukken, sorry sorry I scared you" said Magesh to cool her down.

"Nee...neenga eppo vantheenga?" 

"Ippo thaan oru 20 mins munnadi"

"Enna thideernu?"

"Hmmm chumma thaan, Kodaikanal bore adichuthu, athaan Chennaiya paathutu polanu vanthen"

Poorna gave him a stare. Since Magesh was using that opportunity to look at her eyes, she felt uncomfortable and lowered her eyes. "Amam, ithenna pazhakkam? sapidama thoongarthu?"

"Pasikala, athaan..."

"Sari vaa, sapidalam"

"Illa vendam". 

Magesh pretended to be angry and said "Adi vaanga pora" he crossed Poorna in the bed from one side to other side to get idly plate. Poorna got scared thinking he is going to hug her or something, so she pulled herself away from him. Magesh again looked at her "Unna kadichu ellam sapida maaten, bayapadatha, enakku idly irukku sapidurathuku". He brought the idly to his side and took a piece, dipped in chutney and offered it to Poorna. Poorna was bit shocked to see Magesh trying to feed her. "Illa enakku vendam, pasikala". Magesh didn't say anything. He didn't move his hand either. He was in the position of feeding her. Poorna now said "Sari naane sapiduren". Again Magesh acted like not hearing anything and didn't move his hand. Poorna was bit lost what to say next or how to avoid his offer. She thought "Aaa vaangalana vida maatan pola irukke, sari pesama vaangikalam, ithula enna irukku, namakkum lesa pasikkuthu". She hesitantly opened her mouth. Now Magesh smiled "Thats my girl". Poorna thought "romba mukkiyam, innaiku kandippa flirt pannuvan pola irukku, flirt mattum thaan pannuvana, illa athukkum mela povananu teriyalaye?" Poorna zoned out. Magesh clicked his finger. "Hello Maharani entha logathula irukeenga?". Poorna came back to reality. "Athu...athu onnum illa...". Magesh kept feeding her. Poorna had around 5 idlys and noticed only 3 left for him. "Enakku pothum". "Illa innum onnu sapidu". "Mmhmmm ennala mudiyathu, neenga sapidunga". Magesh finished remaining idlies. Poorna asked "Naan vena keezha poi innum konjam eduthutu varava?" "Illa vendam, enakku pothum". He washed his hands on the plate, kept it aside.

They had a conversation about Kodaikanal and his new project. After 10 mins, Poorna was getting up. Magesh got hold of her hand, "Enga pora?".

"Ayyo kaiya vidunga, engayum pogala"

"Illa downstairs poriyonu ketten" said Magesh in low voice.

Poorna gave him an angry stare and went to the restroom. Magesh also got up, opened the cup board, got a track suit bottom and a round neck T-shirt, started to change his dress. Poorna hesitantly stayed in the restroom knowing Magesh changing his dress. She came after few seconds acting oblivious to his dress change. She went to the balcony to bring her towel. Because of the breeze, her saree fleet got stuck in the balcony rail and she stumbled into the room. Magesh rescued her from falling and relieved her saree fleet while holding her tight around her hips. Poorna held Magesh's shoulder for support. Both of their eyes met and entered into each other soul. He slowly brought her to stand on her feet and they don't know how long it was for that they were looking at each other. Magesh looked at Poorna's lips. Her lips were trembling and she scrunched his T-shirt to have a control. He pinned her on the nearby wall while looking at her lips. He lifted her chin to bring her lips close to his. Although she was scared, she thought his presence is the safest place for her to be in at the moment, so she didn't stop him. Magesh pressed his lips on Poorna's lips. Poorna closed her eyes and let him kiss her and she felt weak on her knees. Magesh after a minute or so opened his eyes and looked at Poorna who still have her eyes closed. He could see she struggled to stand. He slowly lifted her and brought her to the bed, laid her on the bed. Poorna's hands were on his shoulder like a garland. He bent down again to reach Poorna. His phone rang. It was Azhagu. Poorna positioned herself. Magesh hesitated to attend the call. But Azhagu kept calling him. So he attended the call "Sollunga ma". "Magesh Kavya-va kaanum pa". "Enna ma solreenga? Intha nerathula enga poiruppa?" "Nee veetuku vaa pa, ava konjam mentala upset aagi irukka, apram solren, ippo avala kandupidiche aaganum". "Sari ma, itho varen". 

Magesh and Poorna looked at each other. "Sorry da, Kavya-va kaanumam". "Kavya-vaya? Sari neenga kilambunga" said Poorna. He kissed Poorna on her forehead and left.
