Azhagu serial - Magesh - Poorna fan fiction - Episode 9 - 13/08/2018

After one week in Coimbatore, Magesh is flying back to Chennai. Magesh is offered a job with a catch. The firm Magesh is going to work is going to start a water project in a village called Poombarai near Kodaikanal. Initially, the CEO interviewed Magesh for a position in the branch in Chennai. But since Magesh's fresh ideas inspired the CEO, he wanted him for the new project in Kodaikanal since the fresh ideas are needed for the new project in Kodaikanal than the one in Chennai. Magesh has mixed feelings about this. On one side, he is happy that he has been offered a job, but on the other side, he is not sure if he wants to leave his family to Kodaikanal, he never lived away from his family. He questioned himself if that is the real reason though. Because he did apply for some positions outside of Chennai, in fact, for the positions in other states. So what must be the real reason for his hesitation? He tried to think although he doesn't want to think why. He dreaded to think if Poorna will join him to Kodaikanal, probably not. He knows deep down she may still have feelings for Ravi and she wants Ravi to realize that or hurt Ravi for his betrayal, whatever it is, she will not come with him, this painful realization hurt Magesh so much. And that too he received a news about Poorna on his last day in Coimbatore. He needs to do something about it or else it will ruin Poorna physically and mentally and will also ruin his family. But he doesn't know how to sort out this mess. He felt like his head was hurting. If Poorna joined him to live in Kodaikanal, he wouldn't worry a bit to live apart from his family. In fact, it will solve all the quarreling between his mom and Poorna. It will provide plenty of opportunities for him to show Poorna how much he cares for her. But will she join him? He went to sleep from his deep thoughts, only woke up after the flight landed in Chennai at around 6.00pm. Poorna still hasn't attended his calls. So Poorna is not aware of Magesh's arrival. 

Sudha finally found the mic in the bedroom and threw it in the bin. She didn't confront Poorna about it. Poorna couldn't hear Ravi-Sudha conversation for last two days and she was on one hand seething with anger and on other hand ashamed of her actions. She didn't spend much time outside of the bedroom as she didn't want to face Sudha. Sudha is not a saint, but unlike Sudha, Poorna takes responsibility for her actions. That is the reason for Poorna to be ashamed of herself. She came out to her room balcony and felt the breeze. It was soothing for her depressed heart. She pulled a chair, sat down and started to embrace the evening breeze. The crescent moon was rising on the south of east. It looked beautiful. Poorna thought to herself if everything had gone well, she would have enjoyed this evening with Ravi. She was dreaming for that kind of evening with Ravi since her teenage years. Everyone told her that she will marry Ravi and will lead a happy life with him forever. It was supposed to be like that, but why everything changed? Tears were rolling down her cheeks. Magesh was standing in the room looking at her. Poorna didn't notice Magesh's arrival. But Magesh was standing there for more than 10 mins. He noticed Poorna embracing the breeze with a smile, he noticed Poorna's tears with a pain in his heart. He didn't want to disturb her. He went to take a shower. After coming out of shower, he noticed Poorna was still sitting in the balcony. He put on a tracksuit bottom and a casual t-shirt and went downstairs.

Azhagu, Sudha were cooking in the kitchen. Ravi was playing with Sudha's son. Pazhanisamy was watching news on tv. "Vaa Magesh, ukkaru" said Pazhanisamy. Azhagu came out of kitchen. "Interview ellam epdi pannina?"

"Nalla panninen pa"

"Eppo pa solluvanga? Velai offer panrangala illaiyanu?"

"One week-la solrenu sollirukanga pa" Magesh didn't say anything about job offer. He needs to make sure couple of things before revealing the news to others.

"Ungaluku pudhu job epdi irukku pa?"

"Ellam nalla poikitruku pa".

Azhagu said "Magesh, nee eppo thirumbi varuvenu thaan wait pannitu irunthen, Poorna yen pa onnu thaniyave irukka, illa-na Sudhakitta yedhavathu sandai pottukittu irukka, ipdi ellarum keezha irukkum pothu vanthu ukkanthu kalakalappa pesittu irukalam illa".

"Amma, avaluku konjam time kudunga. Avaloda vali chinnathu illa, ellathaiyum maranthutu vanthu ellarodayum kalakalappa pesarthuku" Magesh was saying this while looking at Ravi.

"Athuku illa pa...."

"Amma, please, naan sonna madiri, give her some time, athu varaikkum ava apdi irukalam, ipdi irukalam-nu namma suggestions-a ava mela thinikka vendam, avaloda valiya ava thaan anubavikkanum, avaluku thaan atha manage panni veliya varavum teriyum, naama mudinja thunaiya irukkalam, illa thalli nikkalam" told Magesh and left to the garden angrily. A nice breeze embraced Magesh as he walked into the garden and cooled down him. Same time, same breeze woke up Poorna from her thoughts. She opened her eyes and saw someone standing in the garden. "Magesh madiri irukke". She stood up and saw Magesh standing in the garden. "Eppo vantharu?" She turned around to see the room, saw his baggage, jeans and shirt, towel on the bed. "Room-ku vanthirukaru, namakku epdi teriyama pochu? Yen nammala koopidala, pesala? Oru velai naama azhuthatha paathiruparo?"

Magesh turned around and looked up in the balcony, Poorna and Magesh looked at each other. Poorna felt uncomfortable, she went inside the room. Magesh didn't come to their room as Poorna expected. In fact, he didn't come to their room for next one hour. "Anni" Thiruna knocked on the door. "Ahn, ulla vaa Thiruna".

"Anni, amma ungala sapida vara sonnanga" told Thiruna and left.

"Keezha polama, vendama? Ivar yen nammakitta pesala? nammala paatha piragu kooda room-ku vanthu pesalaye, oru velai naama calls attend pannalanu kovathula iruparo? Keezha pona ellar munnadiyum nammala thittiduvaro? Cha, naama edhuku ipdi ellam bayapadanum? Thairiyama keezha polam, Magesh enna periya ivana? Ipdi bayapada arambicha namma latchiyatha adaiya mudiyathu" Poorna thought to herself and went downstairs.

Everyone was having their dinner except Azhagu and Sudha who were serving others. "Vaa Poorna, ukkanthu sapidu" said Azhagu. Poorna looked at Magesh who didn't look at her. His head was down and he was concentrating on his dinner. Poorna came and sat down near him. Azhagu served couple of idlis to Poorna and served some chutney and sambar. Poorna couldn't concentrate on anything. She kept looking at Magesh to see if he is seeing her at least once. But he didn't. He in fact was eating fast, finished his dinner and ran upstairs. Magesh's silence and negligence bothered Poorna so much. She didn't have much appetite. "Intha Ravi moonja paatha epdi pasi edukum, sapida thonum" she thought to herself and washed her hands. "Enna Poorna? Oru idly thaan sapta, athukulla kaiya kazhuvitta?" asked Azhagu. "Enakku pothum" left Poorna. She thought she didn't want to be around Ravi, Sudha and Azhagu & Co. "Room-ku poi Magesh-a kekanum, ellar munnadiyum ennai ipdiya ignore panuvaru?" She went to the room and saw Magesh sleeping on the bed on one side. "Athukulla thoongitara? Illa thoongura madiri pretend panrara? Pesama ezhuppi enna thaan avar manasula ninachukittu irukarunu kekalama? Aana nee yen call attend pannalanu ketta enna badhil solrathu? But athu enakkum avarukkum mattum terinja vishayam. Ivar ellar munnadiyum enna ignore panninare, athu thappu thaana? Athuku kelvi kettu thaan aaganum".

"Magesh!!"

"Magesh, unna thaan koopiduren, nee thoongalanu teriyum, ippo ezhunthirikka poriya illaiya?"

No response from Magesh.

"Mageshhhh..." Poorna shaked him.

Magesh got up and sat in the bed and looked at Poorna. Poorna became dumb, she didn't know what to say. It took couple of minutes for her to compose herself. "Nee eppo vantha?" Poorna's voice was too low. Magesh didn't say anything, but he kept looking at her. Poorna couldn't take his stare, it made her uncomfortable. "Ipdi muraicha enna artham? Eppo vanthenu ketten?" she managed to speak in an angry tone. Still no response from Magesh. Now Poorna is disarmed. She don't know what to say next or how to behave. She sat in the chair angrily and looked away. After couple of minutes, she slowly looked at Magesh if he is still staring at her. He is still staring at her. Its really unnerving for Poorna. She was losing her composure and became nervous. "Ivlo kovama irukare? Oru velai mic vacha vishayatha Sudha sollirupalo?" Poorna's forehead started to be covered with slight sweat drops. Magesh is still staring at her. "Poorna" he called. Poorna slowly raised her eyes and looked at Magesh.

Magesh invited her to sit in the bed next to him by sign language. Poorna hesitated. "Inga vaa" called Magesh. Poorna got up and slowly walked to the bed and sat next to him. He took his towel which was lying in the bed and he touched Poorna's forehead and neck with the towel to wipe away her sweat. "Enna aachu? Yen ipdi verthirukku?" asked Magesh. "Athellam onnum illa, kaathe illa, athaan". Magesh looked at the AC and it is on, Poorna also saw this. She didn't know what to say. He crossed his legs to sit in padmasan position and put a pillow on his lap. He then took Poorna's right hand in his hands and kept her hand on the pillow and said "Ippo kelu". Poorna was bit nervous and lost. "Enna kekka solraru" she thought to herself in confusion. She looked at him in confusion and asked "Enna kekanum?".

"Konja nerathuku munnadi yetho kelvi kettiye, atha kelu, naan porumaiya badhil solren"

But Poorna forgot what she was asking. She cannot think straight. Her mind is cloudy now. "Enakku nabagam illa, neengale sollunga". Magesh smiled. Poorna got confused again. "Ippo ethuku sirikuraru? Naama apdi enna sollitonu sirikuraru?"

"Enna thideernu neenga, vaanga-nu ellam solra?" asked Magesh.

"Naan eppo sonnen?"

"Ippo sonniye"

"Eppo sonnen, enna kettenu enakku nabagam illa, neenga edhavathu solrathuna sollunga, illana vidunga, enakku thookam varuthu" Poorna spoke fast, relieved her hand from Magesh's hands, got up and went to the other side of the bed and lied down. Her heart was racing. Her breathing was fast. Magesh with a smile slightly leaned on Poorna's side. He can sense her breathing becoming fast. He touched her head and whispered in her ears "Bayapadama thoongu, Good night". Magesh turned to the other side and started to sleep. Poorna couldn't sleep. She didn't know what just happened now and she didn't want to think too much. She forced herself to sleep.
