After Magesh and Pazhanisamy left to their home, Poorna and Vasantha have a conversation after 10 days which seemed like an year for them. Poorna is sitting besides Vasantha in her bed. Vasantha got up and tried to sit. Poorna adjusted the pillows for Vasantha to lean on. 

Poorna: Naan unna romba kashta paduthuren illa ma?

Vasantha: Yendi ipdi pesura? Unnala enakku ennadi kashtam?

Vasantha tried to fight back her tears. Noticing this, Poorna gets scared and tries to divert the topic.

Their maid Selvi brings soup for Vasantha and Poorna.

After maid left the room, Poorna also goes to her bedroom, changed into a comfortable night dress, refreshed herself and lied down in her bed. It has been a while since she slept peacefully. The wound in her heart is still so raw. And she can feel that even more now as she is alone after a long time. And it shocks her. The tears drop down her cheeks. She thinks and talks to herself, "Why do I cry? What mistake did I do to cry? But this is so painful, so it is no wonder I can barely bear this pain and it is no wonder I am crying. Ravi athaan, athaan, athaan?" She starts to say it slowly "Ravi athaan", she repeats, 2nd time, 3rd time and as she repeats the term "Athaan" more and more, she can feel the pain more and more and she says grudgingly "Aththaaan..." while banging her fist on the bed. All these 25 years, she ran around him, ran behind him, walked besides him holding his hands, leaned on him happily forgetting the world, cried on his shoulders, for her Ravi athan is her world. Well, for last one year, he was bit distant, he wasn't that interested in Poorna. She didn't think much of it, she thought he was busy with his work and all will be alright after marriage. But he could have told me if he had lost interest in me? Why he didn't tell me if that was the case? Why he misled me? He betrayed my love, what used to be our love, he betrayed my trust, he hurt me so much. But what hurts me most is that he doesn't think he did me wrong. He is walking on this earth as if he is a hero. He doesn't realize how he hurt a girl. What kind of man I was in love with? This is the man I tried to give my whole life?
