Vasantha sat near Poorna and asked her in low voice. "Hey Poorna, unmaiya sollu, unakkum Mahesh-kum yedhavathu problema?"

Poorna stared at her angrily.

V: Sollu di, muracha enna artham?

P: Athellam oru problemum illa ma, nee yen ipdi kekkura?

V: Pinna enna di, enna thaan velaiya irunthalum unna paakanum na Mahesh varuvan, yenna unmela avanukku evlo anbu irukkunu enakku theriyum, aana intha thadava varala, athaan kekkuren, nee thaan vaaya vachukittu summa illama avankitta yedhavathu pesi iruppa

P: Romba nalla irukku, nee enakku amma-va? Illa avarukku amma-va? Avarukku support panni enna thittura

V: Kettathukku badhil sollu

P: Enna ma nee? Purushan pondattina eppo paathalum rendu perum onnave suthittu irukka mudiyuma? Avarkitta evlo mukkiyamana velaiya kuduthu irukanga? Athellam poruppa seiyya vendama? Ithu thaan avaroda first job, athai ozhunga senja thaana enga future nalla irukkum

V: Apdina nijama work-nala thaan varalannu solriya? Unga rendu perkulla ethuvum problem illaiye?

Poorna sighed and replied. "Illa ma, enga rendu perkulla entha problem-um illa, naanga rendu perum romba otrumaiya thaan irukkom, pothuma?"

V: Sari sari romba aluthukatha

As they started on Friday evening, they all went to sleep during night. Poorna couldn't sleep, she opened the window and the breeze hit her face, it made her feel light, she started to enjoy the night travel after some time forgetting her worries.

They reached Mandapam around 6am in the next morning. Kavya and Thiruna were adamant to stop the van in the bridge to take some photos. So everyone got down and saw the beauty of ocean giving way into an island. 

Pazhani: Sari sari time aagiduchu, kilambunga, vantha velaiya paakanum, poi Sudhavum, Appuvum, Surendhar-ku seiyya vendiyatha ellam seiyyanum

Everyone boarded the van again and reached Rameshwaram temple. They booked three rooms, one big family room, two double bedrooms. Pazhani asked Vasantha, Selvi and Poorna to stay in a room. Sudha, Ravi and Appu to stay in other double bedroom. Pazhani, Azhagu, Kavya, Thiruna decided to take the big family room. They all took shower and went to the beach to find a priest. They found a priest to do the rituals. Sudha and Appu took an immerse in the Rameshwaram sea and started the rituals. 

Kavya: "Amma, naangalum kadala irangi kulikkalama?"

Azhagu: "Innaiku vendam Kavya, innum rendu naal inga thaana irukka porom, naalaiku kulichutu apdiye koiluku polam"

Kavya: "Apdina innaiku koiluku pogalaya?"

Azhagu: "Innaiku pogala, sari konja neram pesama iru"

Once all the rituals are done, Pazhani ordered food parcels for 100 people from a hotel and asked Sudha to distribute to the beggars, monks and other poor people around the temple. Once they distributed the food, everyone went to a hotel to have their meal. 

Thiruna: "Appa, Dhanushkodi pogalama?"

Pazhani: "Dhanushkodi ellam naalaiku poikalam, mudhalla poi rest edukkanum"

They came back to the hotel room, started to take rest. Vasantha was sharing her memories about her first visit to Rameshwaram with her husband and how they had a good time and all. Poorna after listening to it for some time started to feel sleepy. Vasantha and Selvi couldn't sleep. 

V: Hey Selvi, variya mottai maadi pogalam, mottai madila irunthu paatha oru pakkam Rameshwaram koil theriyum, innoru pakkam kadal, boat ellam theriyum, romba nalla irukkum

S: Sari ma, varen

V: Poorna, naanga maadiku porom, neeyum variya?

P: Illa ma, enakku tireda irukku, neenga poitu vaanga

V: Sari vaa Selvi naama pogalam

While they were crossing the family room, Vasantha thought to check with others if they want to come to the mottai madi, so she opened the family room and everyone was laughing and chatting with Mahesh including Sudha, Appu and Ravi. But Ravi wasn't happy as others, he was trying to fake his smile.

V: Hey Mahesh, eppo vantha?

M: Ippo thaan athai vanthen, appavuku call panninen, room number sonnanga, so ippo thaan vanthu baga vachutu pesittu irukken

Pazhani: Paathiya Vasantha, kadaisi nimisham varaikkum varala varalannu sollitu thideernu ipdi vanthu nikkiran, aana epdiyo vanthaane, athu pothum, Poorna, nee ellam pakkathu roomla irukeengannu sonnen, udane baga eduthutu ungala paaka kilamba paathan, athaan Kavya, Thiruna ellam kindal panni sirichutu irunthanga, neeyum vanthutta

V: Paravalla annan, Mahesh vanthathe santhosham thaan

Vasantha and Selvi sat with them to chat.

V: Sari epdi pa vantha? Buslaya, trainlaya?

M: Illa athai, enakkunu thaan car kuduthu irukkangalla, carlaye vanthuten

V: Sari pa unakku tireda irukkum illa? Nee vena poi rest eden

M: Paravalla athai, ungalukku ellam thaan tireda irukkum, neenga ellam rest edunga

Pazhani said "Vasantha, neeyum Selviyum unga baga eduthutu intha room-ku vanthudunga, Mahesh-um Poornavum antha roomla thangikattum".

V: Sari na, Selvi, nee poi Mahesh baga antha roomla vachutu namma bagsa inga kondu vanthudu

Selvi: Saringa ma

Selvi took Mahesh's bag to the next room, she wanted to inform Poorna about Mahesh's arrival, but she was sleeping, so she didn't disturb her, she brought back Vasantha and her bag to the family room.

Pazhani: Sari pa Mahesh, nee poi konjam rest edu, yedhavathu saptiya?

M: Mm..vara vazhiyula oru kadaila saptutu thaan pa vanthen

Pazhani: Oh sari appo poi rest edu

Mahesh came to the room and saw Poorna sleeping. He looked around the room and thought "Mm paravalla room nalla thaan irukku".

He went to the restroom, refreshed and changed into a casual dress, came to the bed and saw Poorna sleeping peacefully. She was wearing a nighty. The AC was turned on. He took a bedsheet and covered her and lied down in the bed on the other side and went to sleep as he also didn't have a good sleep last night. Mahesh woke up around 4o' clock and saw Poorna is still sleeping. He noticed a book near the bedside table on Poorna's side. He took it carefully as he didn't want to wake up Poorna. The book is about "How to stand up for yourself in a relationship?". Mahesh smiled and put the book back on the table. As he was putting the book back crossing Poorna, she woke up and saw Mahesh across her. Mahesh also saw her and forgot himself while looking at her eyes.

Poorna got up to sit and pushed Mahesh away from her angrily.

Her breathing became fast, she looked around the room and couldn't find Vasantha or Selvi. She got up from the bed and searched for their bags, but the bags weren't there. She tried to open the door angrily. But Mahesh locked the door on the top.

M: Iru iru enna avasaram? Athaiyayum, Selvi akkavayum thaana thedura? Avanga rendu perum pakkathu room ku poitanga

Poorna didn't want to look at Mahesh, didn't want to talk to him, so she angrily walked away from him and went to the balcony. Mahesh stood there silently near the door for few minutes and was looking at Poorna. After 5 minutes or so, she came back and asked "Neenga vera room book pannikonga, ungaloda enakku ore roomla thanga viruppam illa".

M: Poorna, vera room book pannina mathavanga ellam enna ninaipanga?

P: Mathavanga enna ninapanga-nu ellam neenga yosipeengala? Neenga panni irukkira sila vishayangala paatha yaara pathiyum kavala padama pannina madiri illa irukku

Mahesh is not in the mood to argue with her now. So he went to bed and took a magazine and started to read it. Poorna didn't know what to say or how to react next. She went to the door and opened it angrily to go to the family room to have few words with Vasantha. But then before knocking on their door, she hesitated. "Yen enna aachu-nu amma ketta enna badhil solrathu? Enakkum avarukkum yedhavathu periya problem-nu therinja avanga romba feel pannuvangale".

She looked at her room, hesitated to come back again, but she doesn't have any other choice. So she slowly walked back to her room and saw Mahesh looking at her. She felt like insulted in front of him. "Ivaruku thaan yaar melayum akkarai illai, ennala antha madiri irukka mudiyuma? En amma health enakku mukkiyam aache" she thought to herself and sat in a chair and turned on the tv to watch some shows. She noticed Mahesh reading the magazine sincerely, so she turned up the tv volume to annoy him. "Enna kettalum badhil solrathu illa, periya Raja madiri jambama ukkanthu irukka vendiyathu" she was thinking.

Mahesh closed the magazine and started to watch the tv.

She turned off the tv and went to balcony and sat down there admiring the sunset over the Rameshwaram sea. There was a knock on the door. Poorna turned back, but she didn't get up. "Venunna avare poi open panni badhil sollatum" she thought.

Mahesh got up and opened the door. "Sir, unga room-ku tea kudukka sonnanga pakkathu roomla irukka periyavar".

M: "Oh ok, rendu tea kudunga, thanks"

Mahesh brought both the tea to the balcony and sat near Poorna. It is a small balcony, if Poorna has to go inside, she has to cross Mahesh. And they can't be possibly sit far away from each other.

M: "Intha, appa order pannirukanga, teaya kudi"

P: "Enakku vendam"

M: "Enmela irukka kovatha yen tea mela kaatura? Paravalla kudi"

Mahesh put the tea cup near her and said "Sunset supera irukkulla? Tea kudichutu variya? Koila suthi Rameshwaram kadala vedikkai paathukitte oru walk poitu varalam?"

Poorna stared at him angrily. 

M: "Ippo naan apdi enna thappa kettutenu muraikkira?"

P: "Naama onnum honeymoon ku varala konji kulavarthuku"

M: "Oh illaiya?" Mahesh smiled.

Poorna had to keep herself in composure to keep her anger alive. She remembered what Deepa said, that Poorna has to control herself and approach a problem in more rational way. So she decided to talk to Mahesh again to clear her doubts.

P: "Namakkulla irukkira problem-a solve pannanum nu ungalukku thonala thaana?"

M: "Athukku thaan unkitta time kettane, intha tea-ya kudikkalame"

Poorna took the tea from his hand and took a sip.

P: "Therinja unmaiya solrathukku ethuku time venum?"

M: "Venum Poorna, sila problematic vishayangala paakartha vacho, kekkartha vacho mudivu panna koodathu, ella side-um cleara theera visaricha piragu thaan mudivu pannanum"

P: "Correct thaan, aana antha picture eppo eduthathu-nu sollalam illa? Atha solrathukku enna thayakkam?"

M: "Yen thayakkam-nu unakku puriyalaya?"

P: "Puriyala"

M: "Yenna enakku athu sangadama irukku, nee ennai judge panrathu kashtama irukku"

P: "Thappu pannina judge panna thaana seivaanga?"

M: "Ethu thappu?"

P: "Photovula neenga panni irukkarthu thappu"

M: "Kalyanathuku munnadi pannina thappu"

P: "Eppo panni irunthalum thappu thappu thaan"

M: "Enakku athu thappunnu thonala"

Poorna's anger went to peak. 

P: "Nijamave ungalukku thappunu thonalaya?"

M: "Thonala"

Poorna got disgusted by his admission that he didn't find it wrong. She didn't hesitate to show her disgust in her face. She didn't even want to spend one more second with Mahesh, so she got up to go into the room, but Mahesh held her hand. "Poorna nillu"

P: "Vidunga kaiya, neenga thotta enakku pidikala"

Mahesh didn't leave her. 

P: "Vidunga solren illa"

M: "Mudiyathu, enna pannuva?"

P: "Enakku pidikala-nu sonnen"

M: "Kaadhula vizhunthuchu"

P: "Pidikatha ponna ipdi thodarathu evlo asingam theriyuma?"

Mahesh got up while holding her hand and came close to her. Poorna got scared for a second and tried to distant herself away from him.

But he held her close in a hug and asked "Unna vittuduren, aana naan kekkura kelviku mattum badhil sollu".

P: "Pchh...vidunga Mahesh, ungala fulla verukkira madiri nadanthukatheenga"

Mahesh pinned her on a wall and came close to her. Poorna closed her eyes and tried to get away from him. Mahesh kissed her on her lips. Poorna was so angry, her eyes became wet, her breathing was so fast, she again tried to relieve herself from his hold. But Mahesh looked into her eyes and asked again "Naan kekkura kelviku badhil sollu, unna vittuduren".

P: "Enna-nu kettu tholainga, ungala vittu etta pona pothum enakku"

M: "Naan unna ipdi mudhalla eppo kiss panninenu nabagam irukka?"

P: "Ithu thaan neenga kekka ninachatha? Asingamana velai ellam senjutu, antha asingatha thappunu thonala-num sollitu neenga namma first kiss pathi ketta naan manasu maari ungala konjuvennu ninacheengala?"

M: "Nee ennai konja ellam vendam, ketta keviku mattum badhil sollu"

P: "Enga veetula naan balconyla irunthu thadukki vizha paathen, appo neenga ennai pidichu kiss pannineenga"

M: "Annaiku naan kiss panninapo nee yen thadukkala?"

P: "Ithenna kelvi?"

M: "Sollu nee yen thadukkala?"

Poorna became embarrassed and didn't know what to say. 

Mahesh again came close to her face and caressed her with a kiss on her cheek. Poorna wanted to get away from him as soon as possible before she lose her self respect.

P: "Enakku theriyala"

M: "Athu badhil-nu enakku thonala"

P: "Thappu senjathu neenga, naan ketta keviku neenga badhil sollama, ipdi enna nikka vachu kelvi kettutu irukeenga"

M: "Naan karanama thaan kekkuren, unnoda badhil-la naan solla vendiya badhilum konjam irukku, athanala thaan kekkuren"

Poorna felt insulted and embarrassed. She thought "Yaaravathu sontha manaivikitta naan kiss panninapo yen thadukkala-nu keppangala?" Tears rolled down her cheeks. 

Mahesh wiped her tears and said "Kashtama irukku illa unakku? But ithula kashta pada onnum illa Poorna. Nee ennaiku naan kiss panninapo yen ennai thadukkalanu honesta pesa arambikkiriyo annaiku thaan naan solra badhila purinjukura alavukku unakku pakkuvam vanthu irukkunu artham, athu varaikkum naan enna sonnalum nee ennai thaan keezhtharama paapa, but oruthara sex vishayathula keezhtharama paakarthu evlo periya thappunu nee seekiramave realize pannuva". Mahesh relieved her and was about to turn from her. But Poorna interrupted. She clapped while tears rolled down her cheeks. 

P: "Romba smart thaan Mahesh neenga, unga thappa maraikka epdi ellam pesureenga"

Mahesh smirked and came close to her again. 

M: "Naan thaan naan panninathu thappunu thonala-nu sollitane, apram ethukku unkitta irunthu maraikka try panna poren? Ella unmaiyayum sollatuma? I mean naan pannina, un dictionary padi "Disgusting, keezh tharamana, asingamana" velai ellam sollatuma? Kekkuriya? Yenna solrathukku enakku oru problem-um illa, kekarthuku unakku thairiyam irukka-nu yosichuko"

Mahesh again kissed on her lips and smiled and left to the balcony to finish off his tea.

Poorna stood there for a while. Mahesh came back from the balcony and looked at her standing there like a statue and walked away from her. Around 6.30pm, Vasantha came and knocked on Poorna's room door. Mahesh opened the door and asked her to come in. Poorna was still standing in the same place. She came back to reality when Vasantha came in chatting.

V: "Mahesh, neeyum Poornavum kilambi vaanga, ellarum yedhavathu oru hotel-la poi dinner saptutu varalam-nu annan sonnaru, hey Poorna, yendi ipdi thoongu moonji madiri irukka? Face wash panni, dress maathitu, konjam paaka latchanama irukka koodatha?"

Poorna went into the bathroom to refresh herself. She didn't know what to think about her conversation with Mahesh or his behaviour. It hurt her head so much. So she decided not to think about it for the sake of her mother. Because she knew she will erupt like volcano if she started to rationalise Mahesh's behaviour. She came out of the bathroom, wiping her face with a towel.

V: "Sari Mahesh rendu perum kilambi keezha vaanga, naanga ellam reception-la ukkanthu irukkom"

M: "Mmm saringa athai"

Mahesh then went to the bathroom to wash his face. When he came back, he saw Poorna changing her dress, she was wearing a Chudidhar. She didn't notice Mahesh. He went back into the bathroom and waited there and came back into the room after five minutes or so. Poorna saw him and adjusted her dress to make sure everything in place.

They joined everyone in the reception and went to have dinner.
