Azhagu serial - Magesh - Poorna fan fiction - Episode 51 - 05/06/2019

Mahesh went downstairs with his bags, everyone was having tea and snacks. They were shocked and surprised to see Mahesh with his bags.

Pazhani: "Enna Mahesh? Athukkulla Kodaikanal kilambitiya?"

Mahesh: "Amam pa, intha weekend kilamburennu munnadiye solli irunthane"

Azhagu: "Solli iruntha pa, aana usualla Sunday thaana kilambuva? Innaiku Friday thaana?"

Mahesh: "Correct thaan ma, aana Monday la irunthu velai padu vegama nadakkanum, pona thadavai nadantha mansarivu ellam sari panni road ellam readya ennanu sariya theriyala, Sunday poitu paadhiyula maatikitta Monday seiyya vendiya velai ellam delay aagidum, athanala oru safety-ku innaike kilambiten"

Pazhani: "Hmm sari pa, Bus la poriya? Illa flight book pannitiya?"

M: "Bus la thaan pa poren, sari naan kilamburen pa, bus-ku time aagiduchu"

A: "Iru pa, tea kudichutu snacks saptutu poyen, athukku koodava time illa?"

M: "Illa ma, time aagiduchu, naan varen, anni, Kavya, Thiruna ellarukkum poitu varen"

Ravi: "Enna da? Enkitta solla maatiya?"

M: "Naan sonnalum sollalanalum nee ennai pathiye thaan ninachutu iruppenu enakku theriyum Ravi, naanum apdi thaan unna pathi thaan ninachutu irukka poren"

Ravi became uncomfortable with Mahesh's remark. He thought "Yetho podi vachu pesura madiri irukke".

M: "Romba confuse aagatha da, eppa paathalum thevai illatha velai ellam izhuthu pottu work pannama healthayum, konjam anniyayum, appuvayum paathuko, sari naan varen"

Ravi thought "Kandippa ivan yetho ulkuthu vachu thaan pesittu poran, ivankitta konjam carefula thaan irukkanum, pesama namma efforts ellam apdiye vittuduvoma? Cha cha enakku apram porantha podi paiyan, ivanukku bayanthu ellathaiyum kai vidanuma? Mahesh went outside and waited for the auto in his street. He looked above on the side of the house to his room balcony and Poorna was standing there looking at him. He looked at her, she couldn't keep looking at him like he kept looking at her. So she lowered her head and went inside.

Mahesh got the auto and left to Kodaikanal.

Once he boarded the bus, he called Raghav to inform. "Hey Raghav, naan Kodaikanal kilambiten da, athaan unkitta sollalanu call panninen"

"Hey enna da solra? Rendu perum Sunday polanu thaana pesi irunthom, athoda illama mudinja Poornava kooptutu varenu sonniye? Ippo Poornavum unkooda varala? Illa nee mattum thaan poitrukiya?"

"Illa da, Poornava ippo kootitu pogala"

"Yen da?"

"Veedellam onnum fix pannala illa da, naama ellam bachelors madiri mansion la thangi irukkom, avala kootitu pona avalukku uncomfortable-a irukkum"

"Loosa da nee? Minji pona oru naal rendu naal mansionla irukka pora, athoda illama Poorna vantha naanga ellarum oru roomla thangikittu unnayum Poornavayum oru roomla vitruka porom, antha alavukku koodava engaluku ingeetham theriyathu?"

"Apdi illa da, neenga ellam adjust pannipeenga, enakku theriyum, aana veedu kidaikkanum illa?"

"Innaikku nee pesarthu ellame enakku pudhusa irukku Mahesh, antha UK return couple veetula first floorla irukka veeta unakku tharartha sonnanga thaana? Unna thaan antha ownerku romba pidichu pochu, nee Poornava kootitu vara varaikkum wait panratha kooda sonnangale? Apram enna problem?"

Mahesh was silent.

"Sollu da, enna problem unakku Poornava kootitu vararthula?"

"Illa da, konja naal aagattum"

"Yen da? Innum Poorna unna accept pannikalaiya enna?"

"Apdi lam illa da, avale varuva, nee kavala padura alavukku ellam engalukkulla entha problem-um kidaiyathu, suppose periya problem yedhavathu vantha unkitta sollama vera yaarkitta solla poren, ippo irukka issuesa I can manage, trust me"

"Ok da, antha nambikkai unakku iruntha pothum, athoda illama if you need anything or want to talk, I'm always here"

"Theriyum da, thanks for that"

"Sari nee reach pannitu call pannu da, unakku yedhavathu venuna sollu, innaike kilambitiye, ellathaiyum pack pannuniyo illaiyo, naan vena unakku yedhavathu vaanganum na vaangitu varen"

"Athellam onnum vendam da, ellam pack panniten"

"Ok da, have a nice journey, bye"

"Bye da"

Mahesh disconnected the call, went to the image gallery, went through some photos and found Poorna's picture in the yellow saree and looked at it for a while, his fingers ran through her face. He switched off his mobile after few minutes. He opened the window to get some fresh air and tried to forget his worries by enjoying the bus journey.

Poorna didn't go downstairs that evening when everyone was there. She went later to have dinner, she thought why she should starve for someone who would rather leave without any consideration for her. After all, he is also proving to be a typical male. Its not the first time she is burnt by a man, is she? Get used to it Poorna, the world is filled with cheating, indecent males, she told herself and stuffed herself with Idlies. "Yeah right, why should I starve?" she thought while eating fast.

Once she finished her dinner, she felt tired and sad. She didn't want to shed anymore tear for a man. She tried to avoid thinking about him, so went fast to her room and forced her to sleep. But she couldn't, so she tried some other means of diverting her attention, watched tv shows mindlessly, started to draw something in a notebook, tried to read few books, finally got intrigued in a book and kept reading it until she fell to sleep. 

Mahesh reached Kodaikanal next day morning around 6am. He waited for the local bus to go to Poombarai. The word in the town is that the roads got refurbished just two days ago and the local buses are operating between the villages in the hills. He reached the mansion around 8am and had a light breakfast after a shower and wanted to have a nap. But he has to inform his home that he reached Kodaikanal safely. He didn't really want to call Poorna and talk to her. He didn't even want to switch on his mobile as he is bit anxious if he knows there is no call or message from Poorna. For some reason, he wanted Poorna to trust him, understand him. Instead she is behaving as if she is disgusted by him and that behaviour from Poorna disappointed and saddened him. Anyhow life is never easy,  but we all have to do what we have to do. At the moment for Mahesh, it is to inform his parents that he reached Kodaikanal without any problem. So he turned on the mobile and called Pazhanisamy and informed him that he reached safely. He didn't ask them to inform Poorna either.

On the other side, Poorna was also anxious to touch her mobile, to know that Mahesh didn't call or message her, that he didn't give a care about her in the world. So she avoided taking her mobile. She went to the kitchen and finished all the chores on her own despite of Sudha's continuous offer to help her. Meanwhile Poorna happened to hear Pazhani and Azhagu talking about Mahesh reaching Kodaikanal safely and the roads being refurbished and their relief about the situation. Poorna did everything in her power to keep herself busy away from mobile and away from Mahesh's thoughts. As she did all the chores, she became so tired early in the night and went to sleep so fast. Next day as well, she was so stubborn to clean the whole house and dusted off all the walls, ceilings, stairs, flower vases, show case things, washed off the floor throughout the whole house and went to sleep early on Sunday night too. Once the weekdays started, as much as she tried, there were not many chores for her to do. She tried to sleep off the day, but she couldn't. Usually she tries to stay away from the conversations between Azhagu and Sudha, but today she wanted some kind of diversion, so she went downstairs when Azhagu and Sudha were talking about something. 

Azhagu: "Vaa Poorna ukkaru"

Poorna: "Enna athai pannitu irukeenga?"

Azhagu: "Onnum illa ma, innum 10 days la Suendharoda first anniversary varuthu illa? Athai pathi pesittu irukkom, athukku Rameswaram poi thithi kudukkalamanu yosichutu irukkom"

Poorna: "Oho, Rameswaram-na ellarume poroma? Illa neenga, mama, Sudha, Ravi athaan, appu mattuma?

Azhagu: "Athaan ma, innum onnum mudivu pannala, enakku intha madiri Rameswaram poi kudukkalannu thonuchu, atha Sudha kitta sollitu irunthen, aana sayangalam mama varattum, avarkitta pesi thaan mudivu pannanum"

Then Poorna started to play with Appu for a while. Appu went to sleep and Sudha took him to her room. Poorna is lost what else to do. She thought its been a while since she cleaned her room. Although she cleaned the whole house the day before, she didn't do a deep cleaning in her room for some reason, so she thought she can do that instead. She started to dust off the furniture and went to the wardrobe. She took all the clothes out. When she was taking out Mahesh's shirts, she involuntarily took his shirts to her face, she can sense his smell in his shirts, she took them to the bed and lied down while resting her face on his shirts. The first time she got to smell him, his perfume, he was wearing this blue checked shirt. That day flashed her in front of her eyes like it happened only yesterday. 

It was the day when he returned from Kodaikanal before thaali pirichu kokura function. Poorna got angry at Ravi's remarks that it was because of Ravi's earning that the whole family had food and clothes and that Poorna should control her over eating and that Mahesh was a lazy jobless guy. She got angry and went out as she didn't want to stay not even for a second in Pazhanisamy's house because of Ravi's remark. Mahesh came back from Kodaikanal and gave his salary to Pazhanisamy who was oblivious about the argument happened between Ravi and Poorna. He went to see Poorna in Vasantha's place, she was in half sleep, he woke her up to have dinner. While he tried to take the dinner plate from the other side, he crossed Poorna as if he was going to hug her, that was the first day, she was so close to Mahesh's chest and shoulders and happened to smell his perfume.* It made her lose herself in his closeness for a second, she was afraid to lose her composure, she tried to hide it from him by behaving normally. She is still not sure if he sensed what she was going through or not. But his manly smell did something to Poorna that day. After the dinner, she went to the balcony to bring the towel, her saree got stuck in the rail and as she was stumbling, Mahesh held her and kissed her the first time. Now thinking back, she understood his loving and caring nature from the day 1 of their marriage, his mischievous teasing messages, his charm, finally his manly closeness and smell made her to fall for him that day and finally allowed her feminine nature to be taken care by him and to be kissed and embraced by him. The first time she smelled, the first time she was held by him, the first time she was kissed by him, that shirt reminded everything about that day* to her. She embraced his shirt and slept on it. 

When she woke up in the evening, she thought "Evlo anba iruntharu? Evlo nerukkama pazhaginaru enkooda? Enna thavira vera oruthi avar lifela illatha madiri nadanthukittaru, aana ippo? Her tears made Mahesh's shirt wet.

As Poorna spent that day evening and night thinking about Mahesh and crying for how things turned out, the next day she decided she can't continue like this crying over someone who didn't give a thing about her. If she continues this overthinking about him, she might text him, beg for his attention. She decided she shouldn't give up her self respect no matter how loving and caring he was all these days. What matters at the moment is that he hid something about a woman in his life and is not ready to explain to Poorna about his relationship with that woman. She may understand him and will not be hostile to him if he is honest about everything, but he is not ready to be honest with her. And however she tried, the house chores are not enough to keep her busy. So she decided to meet the manager in the car sales job she took the sabbatical leave from and get back on the job to keep herself busy. Next day morning, she got up, took shower, dressed in a cotton saree and informed Pazhani and Azhagu briefly about the job and left. She talked to the manager and as she was a good sales person, they took her back immediately. Poorna concentrated on the job and felt satisfied to be back on track professionally. A day well spent for her finally without wasting time on thinking about a cheating man she thought.

Mahesh concentrated on his work. Although Poorna's thoughts came into his mind, he tried his best to ignore her thoughts and to focus on his job. What is the use of worrying about someone who didn't even have a basic understanding of me? Basic trust on me? How did she become intimate with me if she can't trust me? If she can't protect my dignity? Mahesh's thoughts ran wild until his colleague brought him to his sense. 

"Enna Mahesh? Enna yosanai? Kitta thatta 7 kms-ku naama three pipes podura madiri irukkum nu en calculation kamikuthu, ennoda figures paaru, unakku ok-na naama quotation anuppidalam"

"Oru 30 minutes kudu da, paathutu solren"

"Mm ok da, take your time"

Mahesh again concentrated on his job. A week went by successfully as he and his colleagues moved the project by finishing the paper work and started to send the quotations for raw materials. Next week, they will start to recruit the employees for level 1. 

Mahesh wanted to keep himself busy, so he planned a trip to the hill point and waterfalls with his colleagues to spend the weekend. He got the call from Pazhanisamy on Saturday morning. 

"Enna pa Mahesh? Epdi irukka?" asked Pazhani.

M: "Nalla irukken pa, neenga, amma ellarum epdi irukkeenga?"

Pazhani: "Naanga nalla irukkom, Surendhar-oda anniversary varuthu one weekla, ellarum Rameswaram polam-nu irukkom, neeyum anga irunthu Rameswaram vanthuduriya pa?"

M: "Naan ethukku pa? Neenga ellam poitu vaanga? Solla pona ellarum poganumnu enna avasiyam? Neenga, amma, Ravi, anni and Appu pona pothatha?"

Pazhani: "Correct thaan pa, aana ellarume Rameswaram koiluku poitu vantha madiri irukkum illa?" 

M: "Enakku ippo thaan pa work ellam vegama poikittu irukku, ennala vara mudiyumanu theriyala"

Pazhani: "Ennada nee? Poorna madiriye solra? Avalum leave kidaikkuma ennanu theriyalanu solra, unga rendu perukkume Sat, Sun leave thaana? Kooda oru rendu naal leave edukka mudiyatha? Ava ennadanna irunthu irunthu ippo thaan thirumba velaiku poga arambichu irukken, athukulla rendu naal leave edukka viruppam illanu solra, neeyum ipdi solra?"

Mahesh was silent for couple of minutes. He thought "Thirumba velaikku poga arambichuta pola irukku, sari paravalla, athuvum nallathukku thaan, ennaiye ninachu azhama feel pannama, thairiyama irukka try panralla, enakku athu pothum, Raviyoda avalukku ethuvum illana aana piragu, ava ipdi thairiyama irukkanum-nu thaan naan aasai patten, ippo enna purinjukama ava kochikitta kooda ava azha koodathu, thairiyama irukkanumnu thaan naan aasai paduren. Thirumba thirumba ava expect panra explanation, attention ellam kuduthutu irunthenna she will never become independent emotionally, its for good".

Pazhani: "Hey Mahesh enna da? Onnume pesama irukka?"

M: "Athu onnum illa pa, chumma yosichutu irunthen"

Pazhani: "Sari mudinja vara paaru pa, Poorna kitta pesum pothu sollu, sariya? Appapo ipdi koil kulam-nu pona manasukku refreshinga irukkum kanna, athukku thaan appa solren, puriyutha?"

M: "Mmm puriyuthu pa, but intha time engalala vara mudiyalanna kochikatheenga"

Pazhani: "Ithula kochikka enna pa irukku? Ellarum vantha nalla irukkum-nu ninakiren, but vara mudiyalannalum paravalla, rendu perum workla nalla per eduthalum santhosham thaana? Apdi ninachutu poren.

Once Pazhani disconnected the call, Mahesh left with his colleagues to the hill point as he planned. He happened to meet the house owner who offered the first floor portion. "Hello Mahesh, epdi irukkeenga? Enna pa unga wife-a kootitu eppo vara poreenga enga veetuku?"

"Sorry sir, athula konjam issues irukku, avalukku ippa thaan job-la mukkiyamana phase poitruku, so konjam time aagum, neenga engalukkaga ivlo naal wait panninathuku thanks, vera yaarukavathu neenga rent-ku vidurathunna vittudunga"

"Ada neenga vera, intha Poombarai village hi-tech citya? Ellarum potti pottu rent edukka? Engaluku rent money-um avlo important illa, veedu chumma pooti kidakkuthe, yaarukavathu use aagumennu thaan vadagaiku vida yosichom, neenga varappo vaanga, no worries"

"Illa sir, engalala ungalukku........"

"Hello ungalala engalukku entha kashtamum illa, ithu yetho commitment madiri ninachu feel pannatheenga, ungalukku rent-ku venuna tharalama varalam, illana no worries" He smiled and shook hands with Mahesh and left to enjoy the beauty of hill point.

Vasantha called Poorna.

"Enna di, annan call panni ellarum Rameswaram polam-nu sonnaru, aana unakku leave kidaikathunu sonniyame, Maheshum avanukku leave kidaikkathunu sonnaname, yen di ellarum pona nalla irukkum thaana? Romba thaan rendu perum bihu pannikureenga?" Vasantha poured everything without a pause.

"Amma ippo nee yen tension aagura? Unakku venuna nee poitu vaa, engalukku velai irukku, athanala thaana vara mudiyala solrom, illana engalukku mattum aasai illaiya?" Poorna tried to speak for Mahesh as well. She didn't want to show anyone that they have problem between them.

"Po di, neeyum, Mahesh-um varalanna enakku mattum epdi poga pidikum, naan eppothum pola Selviyoda senthu intha naalu sevuthaye paathutu ukkanthiruken, pothuma?" Vasantha disconnected the call.

Poorna felt bad for Vasantha. Poorna thought her mother doesn't travel much unless it is planned by her brother's family. Poorna could see that her mother wants to join everyone to go to Rameswaram, but since she and Mahesh couldn't go, she is also deciding not to go. She sent a message to Vasantha "Unakaga leave kettu paakuren, aana kidaikkumanu theiryathu, apram enkitta kochika koodathu". Vasantha read the message and became happy.

She called Mahesh and poured the same disappointment to him. 

M: "Athai, athellam Poorna varuva, neenga appakitta vendannu sollatheenga, poitu vaanga, Selvi akkavayum kootitu ponga"

V: "Ada po pa, Poornavum, neeyum illama naanga poi enna panna porom?"

M: "Amam naan illama neenga rendu perum engayume poga mateenga paarunga?" 

V: "Hello en paasam migu annan magane, intha paasam ellam unakkunu ninachiya? En ponna kattinathala thaan, nee romba perumai padatha"

M: "Theriyum athai, illana ennai yaar kandukka poreenga?"

V: "Chumma sonnen pa, nee iruntha thaan Poorna santhoshama iruppa, Poorna santhoshama iruntha thaan naan santhoshama iruppen, so nee thaan enakku mukkiyam, sariya? Poorna rendavathu thaan"

M: "Illa athai, Poornave ungalukku firsta irukkatum"

V: "Sari, intha first, second pecha viduvom, nee varuviya, maatiya sollu? Poorna leave kekkurenu sollita, neeyum kettu paaru, please please"

M: "Athai, naan thaan main intha projectla, inga problem enakku leave kudupangala, illaiyangarthu illa, naan leave edutha rendu naal project lag aaga chance irukku, athaan yosikkiren"

V: "Athaan unakku one week irukke, ella velaiyum mudichudu, Sat, Sun irukku, minji pona Monday, Tuesday thaana leave edukka pora?"

M: "Athai neenga irukeengale, pesina vida mateenga, naan vaikkuren, enakku neraiya velai irukku"

V: "Naan sonnathum nabagam irukkatum, marakkama vanthudu, nee varuvennu nambi thaan Poorna vara"

After disconnecting the call, Mahesh thought "Paavam athai, naanga rendu perum santhoshama irukkom, yetho workala thaan etta etta irukkom-nu ninachutu irukanga, naan vantha Poorna vara maata, athu kooda theriyama irukanga, ivangaluku ethuvum theriyatha madiri paathukanum, therinja udanju poiduvanga".
