Poorna had been looking forward to the night since the afternoon to be held and embraced by Mahesh and she was thinking how happy Mahesh will be to spend more time with her in intimate way. He got upset when she said no for more in the afternoon. She wanted to please him and show him how much she loves him too. But all the expectations disappeared one by one into thin air since the moment Mahesh attended that call, avoided the dinner and now pretended to be sleeping and became cold when she touched him. Tears rolled down from Poorna's cheeks. She knows Mahesh is not sleeping. She can confront him by pushing him to wake up and enquire him about the phone call. But she doesn't have the strength. She knows he is also weak comparatively to his normal self and she doesn't want to make him even more weak by this serious confrontation and conversation. Mahesh also knew Poorna is upset. But he doesn't have any strength physically or mentally to face her or explain her what is bothering him. So he closed his eyes forcefully and waited for the next day. 

Next day morning, for some reason, Poorna knew Mahesh will wake up early and will try to leave early to the office. So she woke up before him and was ready to face him. When Mahesh woke up, Poorna was all ready after shower and was sitting on the chair looking at him. He struggled to face her like that first thing in the morning. He lowered his eyes and went to bathroom to take shower. "Athukulla ezhunthuttale, paakura paarvaiye sari illaiye, nethu namakku vantha call pathi yethavathu therinju irukkuma? When Mahesh came out of the bathroom, Poorna was still sitting in the same chair and was facing the bathroom. She saw Mahesh without blinking her eyes. Mahesh noticed this and turned around to the wardrobe and was getting ready. Usually Poorna would help him with his outfits. But today she didn't move from the chair. Mahesh was also not expecting her to help, in fact he is relieved that she didn't come near him. Poorna realized that he is not going to make any eye contact with her. And she doesn't want to stop him on his way to work. So she went down to kitchen to pack something for his lunch. Its only 6.30am. Sudha or Azhagu hadn't prepared any breakfast or lunch this early. Sudha was preparing coffee. Poorna went down and cooked rice in the cooker and made idlis and chutney within 15 mins or so. She made curd rice and added some pickles for Mahesh lunch. She saw Mahesh walking past the kitchen as if he is going to the office without having breakfast. So she ran behind him and he almost went out. She stopped him "Idly ready aagiduchu, saptutu ponga".

Poorna returned back with a lunch bag which had Mahesh's breakfast and lunch. She also brought coffee for him. "Mmm....ithaiyum kudichutu kilambunga" said Poorna again in strong voice.

Mahesh didn't reply anything. He just started to have his morning coffee and felt energetic. He returned the tumbler back to Poorna and said in low voice "Sari naan poitu varen".

P: "Mm...paathu poitu vaanga, unga bagla innaiku poda vendiya tablets vachiruken, saptutu feverisha iruntha pottukonga, illana vendam, night ungakitta konjam pesanum, naan wait pannitu iruppen, mudinja alavu seekiram vanthudunga"

Mahesh looked at her. Poorna didn't blink her eyes and just looked straight into his eyes. Mahesh again lowered his head and started the bike to leave for his work.

While having breakfast, Poorna seemed to be in some other world. Azhagu, Pazhani had to prompt her to have her breakfast. Ravi was noticing this. Poorna half heartedly finished her breakfast and left to her room. In upstairs, when she was about to enter her room, Ravi called her. He knows everyone else is in the downstairs hall and kitchen and thought it is safe to talk to her. "Poorna.." he called.

Poorna turned around and saw Ravi and wondered why he is calling her now.

Poorna didn't want to give much attention to Ravi's interference. But the last sentence caught her attention.

Ravi got excited at Poorna's denial.

Ravi left fast without waiting for Poorna's reply. Poorna became so confused and worried. Ravi went to Mahesh office. He enquired where Mahesh is and that he wants to see him. He got the reply that he is not at his work desk yet. "Kalailaye velaikku varennu kilambi vanthane, enga poi iruppaan? Oru velai Mathrava paaka poirupano? Hmm call panni kettudalam".

Ravi disconnected the call and wondered if he can search further or go to his work. On his way out, Raghav came and wished him. "Hello neenga Maheshoda annan Ravi thaana?"

Ravi and Raghav both shook their hands and left on their way.

Ravi went to the cafe and saw Mahesh looking dull and sad in a corner. Ravi became happy and went to sat opposite to him.

Mahesh got stunned by his question and didn't know how to respond. He just looked at Ravi deeply.

Ravi could see Mahesh getting furious.

Mahesh drank a glass of water, took his bags and was about to leave.

Mahesh stared at Ravi for few seconds and said "Enakku itha pathi pesa pidikalannu artham, enakku neraiya velai irukku, unakku coffee sollatuma? Kudichutu office poriya?"

Its around 9pm.

Ravi was in his bed messaging someone. Sudha came to the room with Appu sleeping in her hands.

"Mm oru nimisham" Ravi sorted out Appu's crib and helped Sudha to put Appu in it. His hands brushed Sudha's. Ravi looked at her and tried to grab her hands. But Sudha didn't give much attention and relieved herself from Ravi's efforts to hold her hands.

Ravi wondered if she saw him talking to Poorna this morning and if that is the reason for her to avoid him.

Sudha sat besides Ravi in the bed and smiled.

Ravi came close to her and lied on her shoulders. It made Sudha uncomfortable, but she doesn't want to get away so soon.

Both of them were silent for few seconds. Sudha's eyes got wet and tears rolled down from her cheeks. Ravi looked at her and saw the tears. He got up from her shoulders. "Hey enna aachu? Yen ippo kan ellam kalanguthu?"

"Onnum illa" said Sudha, but started weeping.

Ravi grabbed Sudha to his shoulders and caressed her head. "Surendhara ninachu thaana azhara?"

Sudha didn't say anything.

Sudha was silent.

Ravi relieved Sudha from his shoulders and turned around to sleep. Sudha couldn't understand if Ravi talked offensively, kindly, but either way she felt he spoke the truth. But she didn't understand what he means by that she felt something same as him. She knows she loved Surendhar all with her heart. When did she feel something for Ravi? Did she really? Or is it something Ravi felt, but he is trying to project it on her? Anyhow whatever it is, her future is with him and at the least these days he is opening up, communicating with her, letting her to talk and they do have lot of time to talk and share their feelings. So overall Sudha did feel better after the conversation and went to sleep.
