Poorna couldn't sit still for more than an hour. Although she was feeling light headed, she came downstairs to help Sudha and Azhagu. Sudha thought "Velai seiyya vendannu sonnalum kekka maata, aalum tireda irukka, Mahesh vera paathuka sollitu poirukkaru, ippo ivala epdi velai seiyyama thadukkarthu?". Sudha thought of an idea and said "Poorna nee konjam Appu-va paathukiriya?"

P: Yen? Appu paatuku vilayadittu thaana irukkan, naan vena intha kaai ellam narukki kuduthutu poi paathukiren

Poorna was also feeling tired and she always feel happy to play with Appu. So she said "Mm sari Sudha, naan poi avanoda vilayaduren".

Poorna started to play with Appu and noticed him picking up everything and put it in his mouth. So she had to divert him and gave him the toys for teething. After 15 mins or so, she started to feel dizzy. She drank some water and tried to concentrate on Appu. She couldn't be active with Appu but she made sure he didn't put anything unwanted in his mouth. Once Sudha came after cooking, she got up to go to her room. Sudha stopped her.

S: "Poorna un roomku poriya?"

P: "Amam"

S: "Oru nimisham, intha soupa kudichutu po"

P: "Enna romba naal kazhichu innaiku soup panni irukka?"

S: "Just pannanunu thonuchu"

Poorna had the soup and went upstairs. She sat on the bed and turned on the tv with her remote. She has no idea when she went to sleep. Sudha knocked on the door couple of times, since there was no answer, she opened the door and saw Poorna sleeping. Sudha brought her lunch. Since she knows Poorna is not feeling well, she thought it is important that she doesn't miss her afternoon meal. So she tried to wake up Poorna.

S: "Poorna ezhunthiri"

Poorna woke up and got surprised to see Sudha brought her lunch. "Yen Sudha, naan keezha vanthu saptuka maatena? Enakku mattum ethuku intha special treatment?"

Poorna thought this is the first time Sudha came to her room to spend some time with her.

Poorna thought to herself "Sapidalana vida maata pola irukku". Poorna started to eat the food unwillingly. Sudha accompanied her by talking some random topics to make sure that she finishes her meal. After Poorna had her lunch, Sudha and Poorna were talking for 15 mins or so about a tv show, then Sudha left her to take rest.

Mahesh returned from work around 4pm and saw Poorna sleeping. He tried to wake her up. "Poorna, Poorna..."

"Mmm..." responded Poorna.

"Ezhunthiri, ezhunthiri...." Mahesh pulled the blanket and switched off the ac in an effort to wake up Poorna.

Poorna opened her eyes half and mumbled "Enna Mahesh, thoonga vida mateengala?"

M: "Mmhmmm vida maten, ezhunthirichu kilambu, Dr kitta poganum"

P: "Ethuku? Enakku thaan onnum illaiye?"

M: "Athai Dr sollatum, nee kilambu da"

P: "Oru chinna thalai suthaluku poi yen ipdi aarbattam panreenga?"

Poorna got up and looked at him. "Enmela ivlo anbu irukka ungalukku?"

M: "Ithenna kelvi? illaiya pinna?"

P: "Aana enkitta opena pesa matengureengale?"

Mahesh got frustrated and sighed. "Poorna oru thadavai sonna unakku puriyatha?

P: "Apdi enna perusa solliteenga? Issues irukku-nu soneenga, aana athu ennanu mattum enkitta solla mateenga? Apram ethukku naan oruthi wife-nu inga ukkanthiruken, ungaluku sapadu katti kudukkavum, ungalukku aasai vantha......" Poorna slowed down seeing Mahesh getting angry.

Mahesh got away from her and went to balcony. His left hand is on his waist, his right hand rubbing his forehead. Its obvious for Poorna that he is angry and tensed. She regretted starting the argument with him when he came from office to take her to the hospital. She felt she could have waited as he asked her to or if not, she could have waited until they return from the hospital.

She got up and refreshed herself, combed her hair and looked at Mahesh. He is sitting in a chair in the balcony. He joined his hands together and rested his head on his hands. "Ayyo paavam romba tensiona irukkaru polave, apdina enkitta share pannalam thaana? Ethuva irunthalum pesina konjam reliefa irukkum thaana?" thought Poorna. When she got up from the dressing table chair, she started to feel dizzy. She caught hold of the chair and made sure she doesn't fall.

She went to him slowly and said "Naan ready".

Mahesh didn't turn to see her for couple of minutes. Then he looked at her and got up. She followed him. He turned around and told her "Ingaye wait pannu, naan poi anniya ready aaga solren".

Poorna became confused "Ethukku?"

"Anniyoda hospital poitu vaa" said Mahesh.

Tears started to gather in the corner of Poorna's eyes, but she controlled herself and said "Apdina naan pogala".

M: "Yen?"

Poorna became angry and started to remove the pin from her saree from her shoulder and started to unwrap her saree.

Mahesh grabbed her hand and stopped her from removing her saree and asked "Ippo yen sareeya ellam kazhattura?"

Poorna lowered her eyes.

Tears rolled down through Poorna's cheeks.

Poorna started to weep and went to the other side of the bed, sat and cried. Nearly 30 mins would have gone. Mahesh got up and looked at her angrily and started to unbutton his shirt. Poorna went to him and got hold of his hand and stopped him from unbuttoning his shirt. "Sorry" she said.

Poorna didn't free his hand.

Mahesh mobile rang. Both of them looked at the mobile which was on the bed. Poorna saw the number and knew it is that girl's number. She freed Mahesh's hand, Mahesh took his mobile, disconnected the call and switched off the mobile. He looked at Poorna who was facing away from him.

M: "Ippo hospital polama vendama?"

M: "Pesala, hospital variya varalaiya?"

Poorna was silent for couple of minutes and adjusted her saree fleet, took her hand bag and said "mm pogalam".

Poorna usually hold Mahesh's shoulder or hip when they travel in the bike, but today she didn't even touch him. Mahesh is also not yearning for her touch, he is still hurt by her words. They reached the hospital, got the appointment which had 30 mins of waiting time approximately. Both of them were sitting in silent for a while. Then Mahesh asked "unakku tea yedhavathu vangittu varava?"

Mahesh didn't bother her after she said no. He was walking back and forth in the hospital corridor. When Poorna's token number came up, Mahesh joined her.

Mahesh and Poorna both got taken by that question and looked at each other and didn't know what to say. Poorna lowered her eyes.

Mahesh became curious to know the reason behind the question.

Poorna hesitated a bit as she and Mahesh never talked about these kind of things and haven't even shared time with him when she got her periods. Dr called them both. Both of them were curious and nervous about the result.

But Poorna couldn't be cool like Mahesh. Yes he is right that they never talked about baby and all, but the feeling she felt when Dr suggested to take a test is something she had never felt in her life. It stirred something into her. Mahesh didn't disturb her run of thoughts by chatting, he let her to be in her thoughts. Once they had the soup, Mahesh asked what she would like to eat. She is not interested in eating anything. But Mahesh insisted that she should. So she had idly and medhu vada while Mahesh had dosa.

Both of them didn't talk much on their way back. They reached the home and everyone was having dinner.

Mahesh and Poorna nodded and went to their room. Both of them changed their clothes and refreshed, went to bed. Mahesh said "Poorna tablets pottudu".

P: Mmm sari

Both of them didn't talk much about anything else and went to sleep.

Ravi was about to finish a call with someone in his room balcony. "Mm sari nee naalaiku avan office-ku poi avana nerla paathu naan sonna madiri sollu, naan avakitta pesa vendiya vidhathula pesikkiren".

He disconnected the call, turned around and saw Sudha in his room putting Appu in his cradle. He got shocked wondering if Sudha heard the conversation.

Sudha became concerned.

S: Mm sari

Sudha had couple of pillows on her back, stretched her legs in the bed and started to rub her forehead. Ravi went to the other side of the bed and laid down and looked at Sudha being concerned and sad. For some reason, it made him happy.

R: Thoongalaiya Sudha?

S: Illa Ravi, lesa thalaiya valikkura madiri irukku, ungaluku thookam vantha light-a vena off pannitu neenga thoongunga

Ravi turned off the bedside lamp and started to sleep.

Next day morning, Mahesh got ready to go to the office. Poorna was still sleeping. Once he got dressed up, he came and sat near Poorna.

Poorna slightly opened her eyes and saw the light from windows and realized it is late in the morning, she rushed to get up, but Mahesh stopped her. Poorna looked pale and tired. "Mm sari"

Mahesh kissed on her forehead and smiled. Poorna looked at him straight through his eyes,

"Sari naan kilamburen, bye" left Mahesh.

Sudha was trying make lemon rice on one side while pouring batter on dosai tawa to make dosa on other side and was trying to line up lunch boxes to pack lunch for Ravi, Mahesh, Kavya and Thiruna.

Everyone was having breakfast. Thiruna called Sudha "Anni, anni, dosai kettu romba neram aachu, ippo thaan dosai maava araikkureengala?"

Azhagu: Hey enna thimira? Ava evlo velai seira? Athaan idly suttu vachirukkulla, atha sapida vendiya thaana?

Thiruna: Ada ennama neenga? Naan yetho puthusa kekkura madiri solreenga? Enakku eppavume murugala nei oothi oru dosai sapta thaan thirupthiya irukkumnu ungalukku theriyatha?

Thiruna: Ada ponga Pazhani, Sudha anni yaaru? En innoru amma madiri, naan eppo enna kettalum oru smile-oda azhaga senju kudupanga, avangaluku kashtam-na naan keppana?

Meanwhile, Sudha was trying to get rid of the burnt dosa fast and was getting frustrated. Mahesh thought "Anni oru dosai suda ivlo time eduthukka maatangale?". He finished his breakfast and went to the kitchen. He saw Sudha scraping the burnt dosa from the dosa tawa frustratingly and she was sweating profusely.

"Anni, anni irunga, intha side vaanga" asked Mahesh.

He pulled a chair from the kitchen corner and asked her to sit. He switched off the stove that had the kadai to prepare lemon rice.

S: Illa paravalla....

Mahesh grabbed Sudha's hand and asked her to sit in the chair. He turned a table fan away from the stove and towards Sudha.

Mahesh poured lot of salt on to the dosai kal and started to roast it along with the burnt dosa.

S: Mahesh, enna panreenga? Yen ivlo salt?

M: Pcch...neenga vedikkai paarungannu thaana sonnen
