Azhagu serial - Magesh - Poorna fan fiction - Episode 42 - 19/03/2019

Once they all finished the breakfast in the Chathiram, they started to pack up. As Poorna and Mahesh both brought only one suitcase for them, they had to pack together. Mahesh brought Poorna's saree which was drying on the outside and started to fold. Poorna went fast and tried to grab it from him. 

M: Hey ethuku ipdi izhukura? Naan thaan madikuren illa?

P: Neenga saree ellam onnum madikka vendam, ellarum irukanga, oru madiri irukku

M: Ithula enna irukku?

P: Enkitta chumma argue pannatheenga, kudunga - she grabbed it away from him and started to fold the saree.

Mahesh brought his clothes. There was tension between them while packing together. Mahesh kept staring at Poorna in the hope to get her attention. But she kept avoiding making eye contact with him. Mahesh thought to himself "Nethe tensiona thaan iruntha, innaiku kalaila vera naama konjam overa pannitom, hmm innaiku fulla Madam ipdi thaan iruppangala?" Aana Maheshku theriyum, Poorna ennathan kovama irunthalum she is getting closer to him emotionally-nu. Its just a feeling. Whenever he gets closer to her, she may act angry and all, but he can hear how her heart beats. It gave him some hope despite of what Ravi said yesterday. So Mahesh smiled in the hope. Poorna noticed this and asked "Ippo enna sirippu?" Mahesh winked at her with a smile naughtily. Poorna got embarrassed and thought "Neram kaalam, idam porul ethuvum theriyathu ivarukku, ipdi ellam pannina nethu chat panninatha naan kekkama vittuduvenu ninappu, Chennaiku poi kandippa keppen, appo thiru thirunnu muzhipparulla? Appo gavanichikuren". 

Pazhanisamy urged everyone. "Time 9 aachu, ellarum kilambunga seekiram, ellathaiyum correcta eduthu vachukiteengalanu check pannunga".

Sudha: Ravi, appuvoda paal bottle velila wash panni kaaya vachen, poi eduthutu vanthudungalen

Ravi: mm sari, avan dress ellam correcta eduthu vachukitiyanu check panniko

Azhagu: Sudha, kitchenla appuvuku paala kaachu vaikka solliruken, marakkama atha bottle-a oothiko

Finally, everyone packed everything and sat in the van at 9.15am. It is one hour drive to Trichy if there is no traffic. The road was beautiful en route Trichy with river and agriculture fields. Mahesh tried to hold Poorna's hands, but she refused. But Mahesh didn't give up. He kept holding her. Poorna stared at him and finally gave up and let him hold her hand, but she turned the window side to enjoy the nature and breeze. "Intha oor evlo beautifula irukku" she thought to herself.

"Romba nalla irukkulla intha ooru?" asked Mahesh.

Poorna again stared at Mahesh, but didn't response anything. 

M: "Pcch...Poorna yen ipdi irukka?"

Poorna was silent.

M: "Please Poorna, ethuva irunthalum sollu, but pesama ipdi moonja thooki vachuttu irukkatha"

Poorna turned and looked at him. "Pesama ivar chat panrarannu kettudalama? Aana Vanla ellarum irukanga, ippo pesarthe avar enakku mattum kekkura madiri thaan pesuraru, aana naan confront panna arambicha enakku kovam vanthu sathama pesinalum pesiduven, illa kekka vendam, ipdi amaithiyave irukkalam".

M: Enna yosikkira? Ethuva irunthalum pesu, kelu, something is bothering you I can see, but please be frank about it

P: Inga pesa mudiyathu, Chennaila poi pesikkalam

M: Oho, appo yetho periya vishayam thaan, sari Chennaila poiye pesikkalam, aana athu varaikkum ipdi kovamave irukkanuma? Namakkulla pesi solve panna mudiyatha vishayamnu yedhavathu irukka? Chennai poi pesina solve aagida poguthu, appo thirumba intha Trichyku drive vara poroma enna? Ippo intha momenta enjoy pannalam illa?

P: Naan enjoy pannitu thaan irukken

M: Naan enjoy panna vendama?

P: Ungala enjoy panna vendannu naan sollalaiye? Neengalum vena enjoy pannunga

M: Nee ipdi kovama irukkum pothu ennala enjoy panna mudiyala

Poorna looked at him again and thought may be she is too harsh on him, she still doesn't know for sure if he chatted with a girl. So why punish him with an assumption? But how could he be forceful this morning with his kiss? Ok she was harsh using words that she is irritated to see him, but does it mean he can grab her and kiss her like that? But is it really a crime? But he could have been gentle, right?  He was gentle few seconds later though. She argued back and forth in her mind for Mahesh. She saw Mahesh again and she can't still be angry at him. 

P: Neenga kalaila nadanthukittathu enakku pidikala

Mahesh took a big deep breath and asked "Nijama pidikalaiya?" with a smile. Poorna again got embarrassed with his confrontation, so she turned to other side and pretended to be angry. 

Mahesh held her hands again "Sari sari, kovapadatha, enakku nee pesinatha kettu konjam kovam vanthuduchu, nee yen karaname illama enkitta kalaila avlo kovama nadanthukitta? Athuvum thappu thaana? Irunthalum naan unna hurt panniruntha sorry, okva? Naan apdi inimel nadanthuka matenu ennala promise ellam panna mudiyathu, because I was also surprised with my behaviour, something hurt me so much and I behaved like that, I can't reason it, but I can understand if it had hurt you, so ...sorry, sariya?"

Poorna thought "Cha apdi onnum avar thappa ellam nadanthukala, konjam kovapadama kiss pannirukalam, naanum avara seendura madiri pesi irukka koodathu, evlo honesta manasula irukartha  solraru, sorry vera kekuraru, mannichidulam"

Poorna lied on his shoulder. Mahesh became happy. Both of them were enjoying the ride, they didn't talk much afterwards, but just holding hands and embracing their closeness. Ravi who was sitting in front didn't get to see this Mahesh-Poorna oodal and koodal. As far as he knows, the tension started between Poorna and Mahesh which is good. So he was happily chatting away with Sudha and playing with Appu.

They reached Uchi pillaiyar koil and climbed to the top and prayed. They sat outside on the top and enjoyed the view of Cauvery and Trichy. After one hour or so, they went to Srirangam temple and it took them till afternoon to have dharisanam due to the big queue. Once they came out, they went to have lunch in a hotel in Srirangam and started their journey towards Chennai.

Poorna started to sleep on Mahesh's shoulder and finally Ravi noticed that the tension seem to have disappeared between them. It infuriated him. "Athukulla rendu perum pesi samathanam agittangala? Epdi? Rendu perkittayume konjam kuzhappi vitrunthane, mmhhmm vida koodathu, vera yedhavathu pannanum" he thought.

Ravi messaged someone. After 30 minutes or so, Mahesh got a call. Poorna woke up by ring tone and was looking at his mobile. He didn't attend the call. Poorna asked "Yen attend pannama irukeenga? Pesa vendiya thaana?"

"Illa yetho unknown numbera irukku, nee thoongu, apram pesikalam"

It kept ringing, he put it on silent. Poorna "Illa paravalla, ivlo thooram call pannite irukangale, eduthu yaarunu kelunga"

Mahesh attended the call and said "Hello"..."Hello yaarunga?". There was no reply from other side.

Mahesh said to Poorna "Naan thaan sonnen illa, ipdi unknown numberla irunthu call vantha yedhavathu prank panna kooda pannuvanga, nee thoongu"

Something bothered Poorna. She lied on his shoulder, but didn't go to sleep. The call kept coming. Mahesh looked at it and switched off the mobile. Poorna slowly relieved herself from Mahesh's hold and turned other side and pretended to sleep. She thought "may be it is the girl who he was chatting yesterday night, athaan numbera hide pannitu call panra pola irukku, athanala thaan ivarum pesa yosikiraru, attend panni pesum pothu kooda antha side antha ponnu pesiruppa, aana ivar yaarume pesatha madiri act pannitu vachutaru".

It disturbed Poorna so much, she couldn't be at peace. So she got up and asked Kavya to swap the place and went and sat with Vasantha. Vasantha asked "Yen ma inga vanthuta? Mahesh-oda ukkanthutu vara vendiya thaana? Mahesh yedhavathu kochika poran, nee poi avanoda pesittu vaa, avanukkum bore adikkum illa?" Poorna said "Illa ma, ivlo neram avaroda thaana vanthen, unkooda konja neram pesittu varane". Mahesh noticed this, he doesn't have any problem Poorna spending some time with her mother, but something is not right the way Poorna left him to sit with Vasantha. "Sari ethuva irunthalum innaiku night Chennai poi pesikkalam" he thought.

When they reached Chennai around 8pm, they stopped and had dinner in a restaurant. They reached the home around 9.30pm. Azhagu arranged a room and bed for Vasantha and Selvi to sleep. Poorna and Mahesh reached their room. Mahesh knew Poorna went back to her sulking mode. Anyhow he thought he will talk to her and will try to know what is bothering her. He put the mobile on the bedside table and went to bathroom to refresh himself. Poorna was looking at the mobile and was thinking "On panni paakalama? Illa romba santhega paduroma? Illa itha ipdiye vitta periya thappa aagidum, on panni paakalam" so she turned it on and there were like 30 missed calls from that unknown number, she got so shocked. "Yaara irukkum, thiruppi call panni paakalanu paatha, number hide pannirukanga, call thirumba pogathu, enna pannalam" as she was thinking, she heard Mahesh coming out of the restroom, so she put the mobile aside in rush. But Mahesh saw this and was thinking "why she was checking mobile? sari apdiye check pannina kooda yen ipdi bayanthu bayanthu vegama vaikanum? En munnadiye check pannalame?" He was about to say something, but Poorna went into the bathroom. She refreshed herself, but didn't want to go out. "Velila pona, avan yen mobile-a check pannina-nu keppan, naama yedhavathu kovama pesiduvom, veena sandai thaan vara poguthu, Kodaikanal-la irunthu eppoda thirumbi varuvarunu wait panninom, nalla padiya thirumbi varanum-nu vendikittom, vantha piragu evlo santhoshama irunthuchu, poosari 10 days suthama irukkanum-nu sonnapo evlo feel panninan? koiluku poitu vantha piragu unna gavanichikurenu ellam sonnan, en mela avlo anbu, aasai irukkunu thaana naan ninachen. Aana athukulla ipdi avanoda innoru side theriya vanthuduche, tears rolled down her cheeks. aana unmaiyave Mahesh vera oruthiyoda chat pannuvana? aana nadakarthellam paatha chat pannuvanu thaana theriyuthu".

Mahesh was waiting outside for Poorna to come back and talk to her. But she took long time. He couldn't wait anymore. So he went and knocked on the door "Poorna, Poorna, are you ok? Angaye thoongitiya? Unkooda pesanum, seekiram vaa".

Poorna wiped her tears, but she couldn't control. "Ivankooda pesi ivan nijamave vera oruthiyoda contactla irukkanu theriya vanthuchunna ennala thaangikave mudiyathu, pesama innaikum ivana avoid pannidalam".

She tried her best not to cry or anything, so she became stiff not to break down in front of him. She came out and didn't look at Mahesh, she went and lied down on the other side of the bed and closed her eyes. Mahesh couldn't understand what is going on. He went and sat on the other side. "Something is bothering her, pesi purinjukalanu ninacha ipdi mugam kudukkama thirumbittu porale, ava mugame sari illa, naanum evlo thaan pesa try panrathu, sari thirumba oru thadava try pannalam". He went near Poorna and caressed her head. "Poorna tireda irukka? Thookam varutha? Naama rendu perum..". Poorna got up, sat and turned to his side angrily before he finished his sentence and yelled at him. "Enna venum ungaluku? Ethuku neenga ippo enkitta vareenganu enakku theriyum, athaana paathen, engada innum aala kaanumenu yosichen, koiluku poitu vanthathum intha ninappu thaan,  ithuku thaan velila vara bayanthukittu bathroomlaye ukkanthirunthen, cha, moonu naala evlo velai, evlo tiredness irukkum? athellam konjam kooda yosikka mateenga, ungaluku intha alpa santhosham thaan mukkiyam illa?" Mahesh's face was getting red, before Poorna finished her last sentence, he raised his hand, but controlled himself. Poorna also got shocked when he raised his hand and became silent.

After few minutes, Mahesh drank a glass of water and took a big deep breath and started to talk. "Nee disturbeda iruntha madiri irunthuchu, athanala unkitta pesalannu thaan wait pannitu irunthen, naama rendu perum santhoshama irukkarthu enna porutha varaikum romba uyarvana, punithamana vishayam, aana unakku athu alpathanama, cheapa theriyuthu illa?" Mahesh voice broke down, but he managed himself not to show it. But Poorna did notice his voice breaking down. She looked at him. He turned around and started to sleep.

Poorna started to feel bad. "cha, enakku enna aachu? naan yen ipdi pesinen? avar sonna madiri naanum avarum santhoshama irukkum pothu, yes naanum thaana santhoshama irunthiruken, it was not like one sided, he never forced me, I always gave into him willingly and happily, athu evlo punithama thonuchu, athula entha guilty feelingum, bad thoughtsum irunthathe illaiye, it always felt right, aana ennavo avaru mattum thaan antha aasaiyoda nadanthukitta madiri innaiku naan avara pesitten, athu evlo periya poi, evlo periya thappu, naan avara mattuma asinga paduthi irukken? Ennaiyum sethu asinga paduthikitten, mannipu ketta kooda ithu sari aagathu, paavam romba hurt agittaru, antha mobile, missed calls, chat pathi kekkanum-na athai pathi mattum thaan naan ketrukanum, ipdi enga uravai asinga paduthura madiri naan pesi irukka koodathu, enna pannalam?"

Poorna touched Mahesh's shoulder. He didn't turn around. He actually slept. She couldn't sleep. Next day morning, when Poorna woke up at 7am, Mahesh was getting dressed. He didn't seem to be too upset. Poorna tried to make eye contact with him, but he didn't give her any attention. He got ready to go to office. Poorna got ready so fast too and went to kitchen to prepare something for his breakfast. She brought idly and chutney to dining table. He didn't see her, but had the breakfast. Poorna went and packed some lemon rice for him and put it on the dining table. "Ithula lemon rice irukku unga lunch-ku" she said. He put it in his bag, said "Thanks" without looking at her and left to office. While he was leaving, Ravi ran to him. "Hey Mahesh, en bike innum sari aagala da, ennaiyum officela vittuden" asked Ravi. "Sorry Ravi, enakku time aachu, nee vena auto, illa cab pidichu poiko" Mahesh didn't wait around, he just said this and flew fast.

Mahesh didn't come back as usual at around 5.30 in the evening. Poorna waited till 6pm and called him. He didn't attend. She started to worry, she called him again around 6.15pm, then 6.30pm, the full ring was going, but he didn't attend the call. When she called him aorund 6.45pm, he cut the call. She was getting angry and called him continuously. He switched off the mobile. She was furious. "Ethanai manikku varuvenu sollalam illa? at least dinnerku varuvarannu sollalam illa, busya iruntha busya irukkenu sollitu calla cut pannalam illa? Ipdi ignore pannina enna artham?" Poorna couldn't eat anything for dinner. Azhagu and Pazhani asked "Enna Poorna, Mahesha innum kaanum? Unkitta yedhavathu sonnana?"

P: Illa mama, officela neraya velai irukkunu sonnaru, aana eppo thirumbi varuvenu ethuvum sollala

Pazhani: Nee call panni paathiya?

P: Mm call panninen, busya irukkaru pola, attend pannala

Pazhani: Ennaiku Kodaikanal poganumnu yedhavathu sonnana?

P: Koiluku poitu vanthu rendu moonu naal inga paper work ellam irukkunu sonnaru, athellam mudichutu thaan poganunu sonnaru

Ravi is happy for some reason. He was playing happy family with Sudha, playing with appu, feeding him and all.

Pazhanisamy said "Sari ma, nee poi thoongarthuna thoongu, avankitta epdiyum oru key irukku thaana, avan varum pothu varattum, work neraiya irukkum pola"

Poorna went to her room, she couldn't sleep, it was getting very late. Mahesh came back around 11.30pm and he looked so tired. Poorna brought his casuals for him to change. Again he didn't give her any eye contact or any attention.

He refreshed himself and changed to casuals and went to bed.

Poorna asked "Sapteengala?"

No reply from Mahesh.

"Ungala thaan kekuren, sapteengalannu"

"Mm sapten" Mahesh turned around and started to sleep.

Poorna went close to him and asked "En mela kovama?"

No reply from Mahesh again. She touched his shoulders, he looked at her with no feelings in his eyes. It bothered Poorna so much, she was about to cry as his eyes were so empty. "Naan nethu apdi pesi irukka koodathu, sorry".

Mahesh asked "Vera yedhavathu sollanuma?"

Poorna became confused at his reply and said "Vera onnum illa".

"Ippo naan thoongalama?" asked Mahesh.

Poorna was shocked at his cold reply and she just nodded her head.

Mahesh started to sleep.

Poorna thought "enmela ivlo kovama irukkare, avar epdi kannula entha unarchiyume illama ennai paatharu, apdi avar paathathe illaiye".

The tears were rolling down from her cheeks. "Ivarum ennai yemathida koodathunnu ninachu thaana naan ivar mobile-a check panninen, antha kovathula thaana apdi pesinen? Ok naan pesinathu thappu thaan, aana athukaga enmela ivlo kova padanuma? Sari naalaiku sari aagiduvaru, wait panni paakalam, enmela avarala romba naalaiku kovama irukka mudiyathu".

As Poorna couldn't sleep in the nights, she was getting late in the mornings, by the time, she wakes up, Mahesh gets ready to his office. Poorna went to kitchen and prepared him breakfast and lunch. He said "thanks" and left fast today as well. He didn't come back in the evening today as well. "Innaikum call pannina switch off panniduvara? Apram ore avamanama poidum, oru thadava call panni edukkalanna namakku vera sema kovama varum, call pannalama, vendama?" Poorna didn't eat much today. She couldn't eat. Breakfast, lunch, dinner - nothing appealed to her. She lost her appetite. Azhagu noticed this. When Mahesh returned back at 11.30pm, Azhagu and Pazhani were waiting for him in the dark in the dining table. "Enna ma, rendu perum thoongalaya?"

"Unakaga thaan pa wait pannitu irukkom"

"Yen ma, naan thaan vara time aagume, athuvum illama enkitta thaan oru key irukkulla?"

"Athukaga illa pa, unkitta konjam pesanum"

"Sari sollunga" he sat down.

"Onnum illa, unakkum Poornavukum naduvula onnum problem illaiye?"

Mahesh thought if Poorna said something to them. But she never talked about us to anyone else much as far as he knows. So the chances are slim.

"Sollu pa, unakkum Poornavukum naduvula onnum problem illaiye?"

"Apdi ellam onnum illa ma, yen kekureenga?"

"Illa, nethum Poorna ozhunga sapidala, sari travel pannitu vanthathala konjam udambu sari illama irukkunu ninachu naan perusa kandukkala, aana innaiku suthama sapidala"

"innaiku onnume sapidalaya?"

"Illa pa, kalaila rendu idly eduthu thattula vacha, oru idlyaye oru mani nerama yetho yosanailaye saptutu iruntha, innoru idlya poi bin-la pottuta, mathiyanam sapida vaa-nu koopten, apram saptukurenu sollita, evening poi mathiyanam saptiya-nu ketten, saptenu poi solra, enakku theriyatha? mathiyanam saptruntha evlo sadham irukkum, kuzhambu irukkumnu, night dinner sapida koopten, mathiyanam neraiya saptuten, pasikala-nu poi solra, neeyum veetula rendu naala avlo time spend pannala, athaan pa kekkuren, unga rendu perukkulla yedhavathu problema?"

"Apdi ellam onnum illa ma, actuala travel pannitu vanthathala stomach upseta irukkunu enkitta sonna, athanala thaan sapidama irunthiruppa, irunthalum konjamavathu saptrukalam, enakkum officela neraiya velai, so avakitta adhigama pesa mudiyala, neenga onnum kavala padatheenga, naalaiku vena naan avala Drkitta kootitu poitu varen, ippo dosai oothi eduthutu poren"

Mahesh went to kitchen to make some dosais.

Azhagu came "Nee poi ukkanthu appavoda pesittu irupa, naan poi dosai suttu tharen".

"Mm sari ma, ethukum oru 6 dosai suttudunga"

"Mm sari pa" Azhagu thought to herself "Avlo sapiduvalannu theriyala, sari paravalla kekuran, suttu thanthuduvom".

The truth is Mahesh also didn't have his dinner for last two days, he had breakfast and lunch although he also didn't have appetite. He had to eat so that he can do his work properly. He can't give in to his emotions. Life will always have some ups and downs, but company is giving him salary and relying on him to finish some work. He has to be truthful to his job, so he ate well, but when he finished his work, he lost the appetite, he was worried about Poorna, so he couldn't eat.

Azhagu brought the dosais with chutney and podi. "Sari pa, neengalum ammavum ithukaaga ivlo neram muzhichutu irunthu irukeenga, neenga poi thoongunga" said Mahesh.

They both left to their room. Mahesh went to his room and turned on the light. He could see from Poorna's face that she cried. She didn't sleep, she got up when she saw Mahesh and brought his casuals for him to change. Mahesh tried to look at her, but she didn't see him. Her face looked so dull and bit swollen from crying. Mahesh refreshed himself and got into his casuals. Meanwhile Poorna went to sleep. Mahesh brought the dosai and sat near her in the bed and called her. "Poorna, Poorna ezhindiru, nee thoongalannu theriyum, ezhunthu saptutu thoongu" said Mahesh.

"Enakku vendam, pasikkala, mathiyanam neraiya saptuten" said Poorna.

"Naanum thaan mathiyanam neraiya sapten, aana dinner innum sapidala, enakku pasikuthu" said Mahesh.

P: "Ungaluku pasicha neenga sapidunga, enakku vendam"

M: "Nee company kudutha sapiduren, illana vendam"

Poorna got up and looked at him. "Rendu naala ennai paathale moonja thiruppitu poneenga, ippo mattum ethuku ennoda company kekureenga?" her eyes were becoming wet.

Mahesh didn't say anything. He took a bite of dosai, dipped it in chutney and tried to feed Poorna. "Mm sapidu"

"Enakku vendam solren illa" tears started to roll on her cheeks. In fact, Poorna broke down and started to cry. Usually Mahesh will wipe her tears before she starts to cry. But today he just let her cry. Almost for 5 minutes he was silent and let her cry. After 5 minutes, he wiped her tears and caressed her head and brought her close to him to give a hug. She lied on his shoulder, weeping uncontrollably.

"Sari, kanna thudachittu sapidu"

"En mela kovam thaana ungaluku?"

"Amam, aana athai pathi ippo pesa vendam, nee sapidu"

"Illa neenga sollunga, venuna enna thittunga, aana enkitta pesama irukatheenga"

Mahesh was silent.

"Sollunga, yen pesa matengureenga? Apdina innum kovama thaan irukeenga illa?"

M: Pchhh...Poorna, athai pathi ippo pesa vendannu solren illa?

P: Yen ippo pesa vendam? Enakku ippo pesi aaganum, illana naan sapida maaten

Mahesh sighed. "Enakku pasikuthu, nee sapidalanna naanum sapida maten, paravallaya?" asked Mahesh.

"Aana neenga enmela kovama irukkum pothu enakku sapida pidikala"

"Antha kovam vera, athu thani matter, athai pathi ippo pesa vendannu solren illa"

"Yen pesa vendam?"

"First of all nee sapidanum, appo thaan pesa thembu kidaikum, rendavathu ippo pesa arambichonna romba late aagidum, enakku neraiya velai irukku, naalaikum naan seekiram kilambanum, athanala thaan solren, porumaiya innoru naal pesikalam"

Poorna was thinking. "En mela kovam illanavathu sollunga?"

Mahesh didn't respond.

"Sollunga" asked Poorna.

"Atheppudi solla mudiyum? Nee sapidu Poorna"

"Apdina en mela kovam irukku illa?"

"Amam, kovam irukku, neraiya irukku, unmela naan kova pada koodatha?"

"Kova padalam...aana..."

"Apram enna aana, aavanna-nu kittu, sapidu"

"Neenga ennai sapida vachutu, thirumba enkitta pesama poiteenganna enna panrathu?"

"Pesalanna enna ippo? Konja naal pesama iruntha thaan unakku sila vishayangal puriyum"

"Aana neenga pesalanna enakku romba kashtama irukku, ennala ethuvume seiyya mudiyala"
