Azhagu serial - Magesh - Poorna fan fiction - Episode 41 - 14/03/2019

Next day morning, everyone woke up to the sound of chores in the kitchen. The Chathiram provides breakfast for the guests and hot water on a small charge. Azhagu family members had a bath and got ready for the temple. Azhagu and Pazhanisamy reminded Poorna to take the molappari she prepared all these days. Everyone else took the things for the pongal and pooja. Outside of the temple, there was a big ground with lot of trees dedicated for these kind of events and feasts. Azhagu family prepared the pongal, did the pooja. That afternoon, they decided cook there and have the afternoon meal. Mahesh and Thiruna went to collect more woods for the fire to cook. Poosari ayya was talking to Pazhanisamy and Azhagu. "Amma, unga chinna marumaga mulappari nalla vilanju irukku, adutha varushame nalla padiya oru kuzhandai pirakkum, santhoshama irunga". 

Both Pazhani and Azhagu became happy. "Romba nandringayya, konja naalave veetula onnu maathi onnu yedhavathu problem vanthutte irukku, yetho innaiku nalla varthaiya solli irukeenga, athu padiye nallathu nadakkatum, athe madiri en mootha marumaga Sudhavum Raviyum nalla padiya vazhanum, neenga thaan en mootha marumagala aaseervadhikanum" said Azhagu.

"En aaseervadham enna ma? Namma sodalai maadan aaseervathicha pothum, naanum nadanthathu ellam kelvi patten, namma periya poosari sonna madiri antha ponnoda mudhal purushanuku seiyya vendiya kadamai ellam seinga, oru varusham mudiyatum, apram thirumba kootitu vaanga, nalla naala paathu avanga vaazhkaiya arambikattum" said Poosari.

Azhagu: "Saringa saamy, apdi thaan naangalum ninachutu irukkom, mathiyanam neenga enga kooda thaan sapidanum"

Poosari: "Athanala enna ma, saptuta pochu"

Azhagu: "Amam ayya, unga manaivi enga? avangalum sapida vantha nalla irukkum"

Poosari: "Atho antha kudisaila thaan ma iruppa, vera enga poga pora?"

Azhagu: "Saringa saamy, naan avangalaiyum poi oru vaarthai kooptutu vanthuduren"

Poosari: "Ada athellam ethukku ma? Naan sollikuren"

A: "Illa saamy paravalla, naan poi paathu oru vaarthai koopiduren"

Azhagu and Pazhani started to walk towards the kudisai veedu. Meanwhile Ravi heard everything what Poosari said. He couldn't digest that Poorna might give birth to a child next year while he and Sudha haven't started their life. He was fuming "How she could move on so easy? She no longer feels sad for what happened it seems. Whenever Mahesh is here, her face glows with happiness, hasn't she loved me at all? She was on the revenge mode till few weeks ago. How flipping heck she had changed suddenly? If she and Mahesh are going to happy and will become a wholesome family, it will make me look like a loser which I can't or won't tolerate, I should do something".

Poorna was fetching some water from the nearby river. Ravi went there with another pot. "Enna Poorna, nee ethuku kashtapadura? Enkitta illa Mahesh, Thiruna kitta solli irukkalame?"

"Irukattum athaan, avarum Thirunavum thaan viragu eduthutu vara poirukangale"

"Sudha enna panra? Intha madiri kashtamana velai ellam ava paathuka maatala?"

"Paravalla athaan, avanga thaan irukirra viragu vachu aduppula saadham ellam ready pannitu iukangale"

"Nee ipdi pazhaiya maadiri ennai athaan-nu koopidurathu santhoshama irukku Poorna, nee santhoshama irukarthu un mugathula theriyuthu, aana ithu nilachu irukkanum, athu thaan mukkiyam"

Poorna looked at Ravi, but didn't say anything.

"Naan thaan buthi kettu poi unnai izhanthutten, Mahesh-avathu unnai nalla padiya vachupanu namburen, aana unmailaye Mahesh great thaan, unna kalyanam panra naaluku munthina naal varai avan girl friend thaan udal, porul, aavinu antha mobile-laye iruppan, unna kalyanam pannalanna kandippa antha ponna thaan kalyanam panniruppan, solla pona amma, appakitta avanukaga pesi ponnu kekka sollalamnu ellam naan, Aishu, ellam decide pannirunthom, but vidhi epdi ellam maathiduchu paathiya? Avan epdi avlo easya antha ponna maranthuttu unkooda irukkanu theriyala?"

Poorna angrily stared at Ravi.

Ravi: "Wait, wait, muraikkatha, nee ethukaga ennai apdi paakurannu puriyuthu, naan ayokkiyan thaan, athula entha santhegamum illa, aana Mahesh-um apdi irunthu unna yemathida koodathu illa, athaan kavalaiya irukku, oru velai antha ponna marakkave illaiyo? Kodaikanal-la irukkum pothu thirumba antha ponnu kooda chat panrananu ethuku nee avankitta pesi check panniko, ayyo muraikkatha Poorna, un nallathukaga thaan solren, thirumba oru yematratha nee face panna koodathunnu thaan solren"

Poorna started to walk fast with the pot water. But her mind got confused. "Ravi ennai verupetha pesurara? Aana avar sonna madiri Mahesh antha ponna totala maranthirupara? Kalyanam aana annaike inimel unakku naan, enakku nee-nu pesinaru, atheppudi avlo seekiram pesa mudiyum, at least antha ponnukitta thirumba pesi intha madiri situation-nu explain panrathukaga kooda pesi irukka maatara?" Poorna was going through all thoughts. 

After 5 minutes, Ravi was walking into the woods with the water and happened to bump into Mahesh who was walking with the sticks for fire. "Enna Ravi, unakkum oru velaiya kuduthutangala?" asked Mahesh.

"Amam, ellarum aalukku oru velaiya senja thaana sapida mudiyum"

"Hmm athuvum correct thaan"

"Mahesh, naan unkitta solrenu thappa ninachukatha, but Poorna innum ennai marakkala pola irukku, nee thaan avala konjam konjama un side kondu varanum"

Mahesh got confused. "Yen thideernu ipdi solra?"

"Illa ippo thaan thanni edukka pogum pothu Poornava paathen, neenga epdi past-a totala maranthutta Suthavoda vaazhureenga? Sila perala apdi past-a easya marakka mudiyathu, neenga ellam enna jenmamo apdi ipdinu kovama thitta arambichitta, avale kovama thittitu avale azha arambichitta"

"Azhuthaala?" asked Mahesh.

"Amam, azhutha, neenga unga past-a maranthuttu Suthavoda santhoshama irukeenga, ennala apdi irukka mudiyala, Mahesh munnadi santhoshama irukkira madiri nadikkiren, aana ullukulla enakku evlo vali irukkunu enakku thaan theriyum-nu solli feel pannina"

Mahesh got so upset. He was thinking to himself "Nethu kooda feel pannina, aana night naan pesum pothu entha feelingsum illa-ngura madiri pesinaale, naan pesunatha kettu santhoshama aana madiri thaana therinjuthu, en side nerungi vanthuttu irukkaanu santhosha pattane, kalaila kooda urchagama thaana iruntha, enakku pidicha colourla thaan saree kooda katti iruntha"

Ravi disturbed Mahesh's flow of thoughts. "Mahesh, udane nee ethuvum perusa bayapadatha, avalum ponnu thaana? Ennai marakka mudiyama kashtapadura, nee athukaga ithellam poi avakitta kettutu irukkatha, konjam avala freeya vidu, avale sari agiduva, sari vaa polam, ellarum wait pannuvanga"

Ravi and Mahesh reached the temple. Mahesh and Poorna looked at each other with confusion. Poorna tried to smile, but it wasn't genuine. Mahesh picked on this and thought "Oru velai Ravi sonna madiri feel panni azhuthu iruppalo, ava smile-a eppothum irukkira uyirottam illaiye, romba fake-a irukke, enkitta eppavum onnu kova paduva, illa santhosha paduva, fake emotions-nu onnu Poornavuku theriyathu, santhoshamo, thukkamo, kovamo, she always shows her heart through her eyes. Mahesh couldn't think anymore, it hurt his heart. So he wanted to divert his mind on other things. He sat under a tree, took his mobile out and started to chat on whatsapp with his office colleagues about the temple trip. Poorna was looking at him. Kalyanam aana naalula irunthu naanum avarum iukkira nerathula mobile pakkam ponathe illaiye, oru velai Ravi sonna madiri avar innum chat panraro? Ravi meanwhile without others knowledge signalled Poorna and showed Mahesh to her as if saying that Mahesh is chatting with some girl. Mahesh noticed this and saw Poorna and she lowered her head. "Ravi ennamo sonnan, ivalum paatha, but naan paakum pothu yen thalaiya kuninjukanum, ivaluku enna aachu, cha mudhalla enakkenna aachu, Ravi vanthu pesinathula irunthu manase sari illa, Ravi solratha naama yen nambanum? Aana nethu Poorna Ravi-Sutha kaiya pidichu nadakartha paathu feel pannina thaana? Apdina Ravi sonna madiri avaluku innum pazhaiya nabagam irukkunu thaana artham, atheppudi naama full and full dismiss panna mudiyum? Athukaga Poornava santhega paduratha? Everyone got involved in cooking. Poorna started to cough and tear up due to the smoke from the fire. Sudha asked her to leave it to her. "Poorna inga kudu, enakku intha madiri aduppula samachu pazhakkam irukku, nee poi kaigari ellam narukku".

Poorna, Azhagu and Pazhanisamy were chopping the veggies. Mahesh broke the coconut and started to grate it with the grater Kavya brought from the Poosari's home. Ravi was peeling the skin of boiled potatoes. Thiruna and Kavya were playing with Appu. 

A: Thiruna, Raviku help pannu pa, Kayva appuva paathukattum

Thiruna: Enna ma, vilayadureengala? En panguku naan thaan Maheshoda poi viragu eduthutu vanthen illa? Intha Kavya apdi enna vetti murichutanu avala appu kooda vilayada sollitu enna velai vaangureenga?

Kavya: Hey Thiruna, ippo ethuku nee ennai vambuku izhukkira? Amma sonna seiyya maatiya? 

T: Hey nee summa iru di, naan ammakitta thaan pesittu irukken

A: Ayyo rendu perum arambichudatheenga, Thiruna appu avakitta nalla vilayaduvan da, athuku thaan sonnen, sari vidu, naangale paathukirom

K: Avana vidunga ma, naane vanthu seiren, appuva neeye paathuka

T: Athu, vitta ennaiyum futurela pondatti thaasan aavarthuku training kudupeenga polave

Pazhanisamy: Ennada, vaai romba neeluthu, ponnunga thaan ella velaiyum seiyyanunu entha kattayamum illa, neeyum sapidura thaana? Velai senja kuranjida maata.

T: Naan thaan poi sambarichutu varuvane, athu pothatha?

P: Athukaga veetu velai paaka maatiya? Naalaiku un wife-um velaiku pona, neeye full samayal velai paathuka poriya enna? Illa la? Rendu perum ellathaiyum share panni vaazharthu thaanda vaazhkai, athuku pondatti thaasan-nu pattam kidacha romba santhosham engaluku ellam

Thiuna murmured himself. "Ingayum vanthu vaathi class edukartha paaren"

P: Ennada sonna?

T: Onnum illa, naanum velai seiyyurenu sonnen, neenga poi appuvoda vilayadunga

P: Antha bayam irukattum

T: Bayamam, pona poguthenu senja vaathiku over alumbu thaan

Everyone laughed. Appu also laughed by seeing everyone laughing. "Paarunga ma, ivanuku ippo enna purinjuduchunu ipdi sirikkiran?" said Sudha happily.

A: "Kozhandainganna apdi thaan, periyavanga santhoshama iruntha avalngalum santhoshama irupanga, illana avangalum sogama irupanga"

Finally they finished the cooking. They made rice, murungakai sambar, ennai kathirikkai kuzhambu, rasam, cabbage kootu, potato varuval. They also have bought some sweets, curd and pickles from the shop.

Along with poosari ayya and his wife, they also asked other two families who live nearby in kudisai to have lunch with them. "Poorna, neeyum Mahesh-oda ukkanthu sapidu, naan, amma, Kavya ellam thaan parimara irukkome, nee sapidu" said Sudha.

Poorna looked at Mahesh, but he didn't have the spark in his eyes as he usually has which disappointed Poorna. So she said "Illa Sudha, naan apram saptukiren, Kavya nee poi ukkanthu sapidu".

Kavya: Illa anni, neengalum annavum thaan innaiku main-a samy kumbiteenga, neenga annavoda ukkanthu sapidunga

Mahesh thought "Enkooda ukkanthu sapida koodathunnu ninakurala? Atheppudi correcta innaikunu paathu ivalum oru madiri irukka, namakkum manasu kuzhappama irukku?"

Meanwhile, Poorna came to a decision and sat besides Mahesh. Mahesh got surprised to see her. 

Poorna whispered "Enna apdi paakureenga? Vara maaten, unga pakkathula ukkanthu sapida matenu romba santhosha pateengala?"

Mahesh looked around to make sure noone hears and replied back in whisper "Nee varala, ukkaralana epdi santhosha patrupen? Loosa nee?"

Poorna didn't know what to say first, but suddenly a thought came to her and was about to ask him, but Kavya came to serve her. 

K: "Inthangannai, vazhai ilaila thanni thelichukonga"

Azhagu served the side dishes, Sudha served rice and kuzhambu to her. 

After they served her, she again whispered to Mahesh. "Amam, enna poi unga pakkathula ukkanthu sapida sonnapo, santhoshame illama muzhichutu iruntha, apdi thaan keppanga, ithula loosu thanam enna irukku?"

Mahesh thought to himself "Konjam confusionla paathom, atha note pannitu ipdi madakkurale, sari pesama sapiduvom, iva kitta vaaya kudutha argumenta vara chance irukku".

Poorna again thought "Naama sonnatha kettathum silent agittaru, marutthu pesala, apdina avaruku santhosham illanu othukirara?" She was becoming sad.

Mahesh noticed the shade of sadness in Poorna's face and also noticed her fingers drawing in the rice.

Mahesh took the mysore pak from his leaf and put it on Poorna's leaf without anyone noticing.

Poorna looked at him.

Mahesh whispered "Sapidu"

"Neenga sapidalaya?"

"Unakku thaan mysore pak pidikum, nee sapidu"

"Illa paravalla, enakku already irukku thaana? Neenga sapidunga" she tried to put it back on Mahesh's leaf.

Mahesh stopped and held her hand. He whispered again in stern voice "Naan sonna kekka maatiya? Naan ethu sonnalum oru adam pidikanuma unakku?"

Poorna startled by his stern voice and got angry. "Neenga sonna naan saptudanuma? Enakku irukarthu vayira? Illa arisi kotti vaikura paanaiya?"

Mahesh also got angry and took the mysore pak "Sari theriyama solliten unna sapida solli, nee onnum sapida vendam, inimel unakku yethavathu kuduthena kelu".

"Ippo ethuku ivlo kova paduraru?" her eyes were getting wet, but she controlled.

Ravi was witnessing everything much to his satisfaction.

After finishing the lunch, they all cleaned the place and went back to Chathiram. 

Azhagu: "Naalaiku kalaila kulichutu uchi pillaiyar koil, Srirangam koil poitu apdiye Chennai poga vendiya thaan"

Pazhani: "Naalaiku mathiyam Trichyla yedhavathu oru hotel-la lunch mudichutu kilamba vendiyathaan, Chennai poi sera night aagidum"

Mahesh was disturbed by his thoughts. Poorna's body language, mannerism, everything changed today. He didn't want to continue this feeling of confusion. So he was looking for a chance to take Poorna out alone to have a heart to heart conversation with her.

Poorna was also disturbed. "Pesama avarkittaye nera kettudalama? Kalyanathuku munnadi oru ponnukitta pesuveengale, antha ponnukitta namma kalyanam mudinja piragu enna soneenga? Pesa vendannu soneengala? Did she/you contact each other? Illa innum pesittu thaan irukeengala? Ipdi ellathaiyum kettu clear pannikalama? Aana ennai santhega paduriyanu yedhavathu kettu sandai poduvara? Ithu varaikum avar enkitta anba thaana nadanthukuraru, intha vishayatha kandippa naan kovama thaan pesuven, apdi avarkitta kovama pesarthu niyayame illai aache? Enna panrathu? Aana avara thaniya paatha kandippa kettuduven, yenna ennala manasukulla onnu vachukittu velila vera madiri pesi pazhakkam illaiye, pesama avara thaniya paakama irukarthu thaan better, avare paavam kodaikanal-la mazhai vellathula sikki thavichu ippo thaan koil function-nu konjam jollya irukaru, ippo poi namma doubts ellam kettu kashta padutha vendam"

Poorna and Mahesh saw each other, Mahesh started to walk towards her. Poorna tried to divert herself, so went and sat with Kavya and said "Kavya, nethu madiri  naama yethavathu game vilayadalama?"

K: Mm good idea anni, hello ellarum vanthu rounda ukkarunga, naama yethavathu game vilayadalam

Mahesh thought "Ennai avoid panriya? Sari evlo naal avoid panrenu naanum paaka thaana poren"

They all played some games. 

Azhagu: "Sari sari vaanga, saptutu thoongalam"

Before everyone going to sleep, Mahesh really wanted to talk to Poorna, so he went near her. But Poorna again went and said "Sudha enakku romba tireda irukku, naan thoonga poren, athai yetho eduthu vaikanunu sollitu irunthanga, nee poi ennanu kettu eduthu vachiduriya?"

Sudha: "Sari nee poi thoongu, naan paathukiren"

Poorna walked so fast, almost ran and lied down so fast and covered from head to toe with a bedsheet and pretended to sleep.

Mahesh became sad. "Pesi clear pannikalanu ninacha, yen ennai ipdi avoid panra? Naan enna thappu panninen? Solla pona, naan anba kudutha mysore pak-a kooda periya iva madiri vaai pesi thiruppi kudutha, iva enkitta kovama nadanthukittu ennavo naan thappu pannina madiri ennai paathale ipdi odi oliyura",

Everyone slept except Poorna and Mahesh. Poorna opened the bedsheet and tried to see the direction of Mahesh's sleeping. In the dark, she couldn't see much. "Thoongi iruparu pola"

But Mahesh couldn't sleep. So he was sitting near the door, playing a game in his mobile. Poorna turned to sleep and saw the shade of Mahesh sitting near the door. "Ivar thaana ukkanthu irukaru? Thoongalaya?" She rubbed her eyes and tried to see clearly. As there was some light from outside which fell on Mahesh, Poorna could see him little bit clear and she saw him doing something in his mobile. "Ippo kooda mobilea vachukittu enna panraru? Enkooda avar mothama irunthathu konja naatkal thaan, aana antha konja naatkalla kooda avar mobilea ipdi ethuvum panni naan paathathe illaiye? Oru velai antha ponnu kooda, illa Ravi athan oru thadava sonna madiri vera yaarkoodayavathu chat pannitu irukaro?"

Poorna felt something in her stomach. First a fear took over her, then she became upset, disappointed. "Ivarum Ravi athaan madiri thaana? Ivara naan namba koodatha?" Tears were rolling down her cheeks. She silently cried for how long she doesn't know. She expected Mahesh to go to sleep, so she kept checking on him every 10 minutes, sometimes she just stared at him without taking her eyes away from him while lying down. She didn't how long she was awake, but she knows for very long time, Mahesh didn't go to sleep. She didn't know when she slept either. Mahesh just fell to sleep while sitting there and he lied down there itself. When everyone woke up, Mahesh and Poorna both were sleeping. 

Pazhani: "Enna Azhagu? Mahesh inga paduthu thoonguran, paai illa, thalavani illa, oru bedsheet kooda illa?"

Azhagu: "Enakkum theriyalanga, sari vidunga, konja neram thoongattum"

Pazhanisamy brought a pillow for Mahesh and put it under his head and covered him with a bedsheet.

Everyone had the bath and dressed up, it was around 7.30am. Azhagu said "Kavya, Thiruna, neenga rendu perum poi Maheshayum, Poornavayum ezhuppi vidunga, illana romba neram agidum"

Kavya went and tried to wake up Poorna "Anni, anni, ezhunthiringa, time aagiduchu"

Poorna woke up and saw Mahesh sleeping near the door and Thiruna was trying to wake him up. Mahesh woke up. Thiruna asked "Enna Mahesh, yen ingaye thoongitta? Sari vidu, amma unna ready aaga sonnanga".

Kavya and Thiruna both left. Poorna and Mahesh were looking at each other and then got up and went their way. Both of them had bath and came into the hall. There was no one else as everyone else went to have breakfast. Poorna waited for Mahesh to get dressed up and leave.

Mahesh said "Ethuku ippo nee ennaiye murachutu irukka?"

P: "Naan onnum ungala muraikkala, neenga dress pannitu kilambunga, naan saree kattanum" she said without looking at him.

Mahesh was getting angry and replied back angrily "Ungaluku thaan antha thaduppu irukkulla? Anga poi saree kattika vendiya thaana?"

Poorna "Athu enakku theriyum, aana athu verum thaduppu thaan, athuku door-um illa, lock-um illa"

Mahesh replied back "Illana enna ippo? Unna enna panniduven naan?"

P: "Thevai illama pesatheenga, neenga dress pannitu velila ponga"

It was the last straw for Mahesh. He came close to Poorna and said "Naan un purushan nabagam irukkattum" in stern voice.

Poorna got bit tensed by his closeness "Purushanna athukaga enna advantage vena eduthukalama?"

"Ippo unna naan enna advantage eduthuten?"

"Itho paarunga, ungakitta argue panna enakku time illa, already nammalala late aagittu irukku, nightfulla thevai illaatha velai ellam paathutu late-a ezhunthu ungala madiri ennala ellaraiyum late aakka mudiyathu"

"Enna yethetho ularura?"

"Naan onnum ularala, neenga thaan onnum theriyatha madiri nadipeenga, ungala ippo paathale enakku sema kovam varuthu, thayavu senju neenga idatha gaali pannunga"

Mahesh's blood was boiling and his face became so red. "Enna paatha unakku avlo irritatinga irukka?"

Poorna stared at him and said "Amam".

Mahesh held Poorna's hand and dragged her to the other side of the block. "Pcchh vidunga Mahesh, enna panreenga? Yaaravathu paatha enna ninapanga, vidunga, en kaiya vidunga, valikuthu enakku"

Mahesh pinned her on a wall and stared at her face which was still half wet with droplets. Poorna was trembling and her breathing became fast and short. Mahesh went close to her face. Poorna closed her eyes. He kissed her on her lips. It was bit on the rough side as he was angry and tensed. But when he saw tears from Poorna's eyes, he realized how roughly he kissed her. He became bit ashamed of himself, but he didn't want to leave her like that. So he wiped her tears and held her cheeks and waited for her to open her eyes. After few seconds, Poorna opened her eyes and saw Mahesh. He went again for her lips and kissed her softly. Poorna didn't respond, but she didn't resist him either. He looked down while holding her face and whispered "Sorry" and left her.

Poorna stood there like a statue for few minutes. Mahesh got ready and came close to the block and said "Poorna, naan ready agitten, neeyum seekiram ready agittu vaa, naama neraiya pesa vendiyathu irukku, but Chennai poi pesikalam, athu varaikkum naama konjam problem illatha madiri mathavanga munnadi nadanthukitta nallathu". Mahesh opened the door and went out, closed the door for Poorna to dress up.

Poorna got ready in saree and was talking to herself in low voice and opened the door. Mahesh was standing there with his hands folded. She was bit shocked to see him there. "Sapida poirupanu paatha inga enna panran?"

He asked "Sapida polama?"

She thought "Amam ithuku onnum korachal illa" and started to walk in front of him. He was trying to walk fast to walk along side her. They both entered the kitchen and everyone held their laugh back to see them together and late. Both of them got bit shy and sat together in the allocated space for them and lowered their heads and started to have their breakfast.

Kavya teased "Enna oru vazhiya varanunu thonucha sapidurathuku?"

Azhagu yelled at Kavya. "Kavya enna pechu ithu? Pesama sapidu, neenga sapidunga pa" Azhagu smiled at Mahesh and Poorna.

Poorna stared at Mahesh "Ungalala maanam poguthu" she whispered. 

Mahesh said "Paravalla, naama rendu perum husband and wife, so nothing to be ashamed about it".

Poorna couldn't reply back anything. She just concentrated on the breakfast.
