Azhagu serial - Magesh - Poorna fan fiction - Episode 39 - 12/11/2018

It is Thursday early morning. Sudha and Poorna got up early morning, had shower as Azhagu instructed them the previous evening. Azhagu was in the kitchen, all ready. 

"Vaa Sudha, Poorna enga?"

"Vanthuttu iruppanu ninakiren ma, ava room-la light erinjuthu"

Poorna also came.

"Vaa Poorna, sari kidu kidunnu velaiya paaka arambikkalam"

"Enna ellam seiyyanum ma?" asked Sudha.

"Kaalaila ellarukkum pongal, sambar, chutney senju kuduthidalam, yenna romba thooram travel panrathala pongal-na konjam pasi thaangum, easyavum senjidalam, apram mathiyathuku lemon sadhamum, thayir sadhamum kattidalam, athukku thottuka oorugaiyum, chips-um vachukalam, nightuku idly, kaara chutney, podi pack pannidalam"

"Saringa ma" replied Sudha.

They distributed the chores among them and started the cooking.

Pazhanisamy got ready and came to kitchen and asked Azhagu "Azhagu, enakku yethavathu velai kudu, naanum help panren".

"Illa Ravi appa, naangale manage pannikkirom"

"Illa Azhagu, aaluku oru velaiya paatha mudinjidum illa, athuvum illama enakku vera velai ethuvum illa"

Azhagu thought for a minute and said "sari, inthanga intha thengai thuruvi kudunga".

"Appadi sollu, oru nimishathula thuruvi tharen paaru" Pazhanisamy started grating the coconut.

Magesh got ready fast and came running downstairs. He saw Pazhnisamy grating the coconut. "Kudunga pa, naan seiren".

"Illa pa, naane senjiduren"

"Paravalla kudunga pa"

"Ada nee vera, naane en pondattikitta kashtapattu intha job vaangi irukken, venuna nee poi un pondattikitta yedhavathu velai irukkanu kettu vaangi sei, po"

Poorna, Sudha, Azhagu were listening to their conversation.

Magesh was hesitating a bit. Poorna glanced at him slightly without him noticing her to see if he is coming towards her and she pretended like not seeing or hearing him.

Magesh walked slowly and was watching what Azhagu was doing. "Amma, naan yedhavathu help pannava?"

"Illa pa, enakku onnum help vendam"

"Apdiya, sari, anni ungalukku yedhavathu help venuma?"

Sudha smiled "Illa Magesh, enakkum onnum help vendam".

Magesh then hesitatingly went to Poorna who was cutting vegetables for sambar. Both of them looked at each other. Poorna whispered "Enna sir, seekirama ezhunthu kulichu ready agiteenga?".

Magesh also whispered "Pinna unna madiriya? 8 mani varaikkum thoongitrupenu ninachiya?".

Poorna stared at him angrily.

Magesh smiled "Appaaa....enna paarvai?!?? Kaalailaye badrakaali-ya paatha madiri irukku".

Poorna searched something and took the carrot to throw at him. But he held her hand and whispered again "Hey amma, anni ellarum irukanga, maranthutiya?".

Poorna then brought her under control "Ungala apram gavanichukuren, ippo ungaluku enna venum, seekiram sollitu idatha gaali pannunga".

"Hey enna? Pona poguthe pondatti kalailaye ezhunthu velai seiyya porale, nammalum poi yedhavathu help pannalannu vantha, overa mirattura?"

"Neenga help panra latchanam thaan teriyuthe" Poorna whispered again.

Azhagu noticed them whispering to each other and asked "Anga enna rendu perum munumunuthuttu irukeenga?"

"Athu...athu..onnum illai athai"

"Amam ma, onnum illa, chumma thaan...." Magesh struggled what to say.

Azhagu "Enna pillaingalo?" shrugged her shoulders and went away with pot of rice and puliyotharai sauce to mix them up in dining table.

Poorna said "Ungalala thaan, maaname poguthu, enna venum ungaluku?"

Magesh replied "Kudu, kai ellam naan cut panren".

Poorna smiled "Kandippa help panniye aaganuma?"

Magesh nodded his head with a smile and said "Amam".

By 8.30am, they finished all the cooking and all had breakfast. The van was supposed to arrive at 10 am and they all planned to leave by 10.30am.

Pazhanisamy asked "Poorna, pongal vaikarthuku ellam eduthu vachukitiya?"

"Vachuten mama"

"Mulappari eduthukitiya? Maranthuda pora"

"Athuvum eduthu vachuten mama"

"Azhagu ethukkum nee oru murai check pannidu"

"Saringa"

"Poorna, Vasanthavuku call panni enga irukka-nu kelu?"

"Kettuten mama, innum oru 5 minsla inga iruppenu sonnanga"

"Sari apram enna? Ammadi Sudha, Appuvuku thevaiyanatha ellam eduthukitiya?"

"Eduthukiten mama"

"Yenna kuzhandai paaru, ippo thaan first time engaloda long travel varan, avan comfortable-a irukka enna enna venumo, athellam correcta eduthu vachidu"

"Saringa mama"

"Ravi appa, neenga konjam padhatta padama irunga, naanga ellathaiyum sariya eduthu vachirukkom"

Pazhanisamy said "Aishuvum mapillaiyum vanthiruntha evlo nalla irukkum?"

Azhagu said "Enna Ravi appa neenga? Avalukku naalu masam aaguthu, intha madiri nerathula kula deivam koiluku ellam poga koodathu".

"Illa Azhagu koiluku pogalanna kooda namma ellarkoodayum jollya vanthu sathirathula thangi santhoshama irukkalam illa?"

"Sariya pochu ponga, intha madiri nerathula ivlo thooram ethuku travel pannanum?"

"Mm athuvum correct than" sighed Pazhanisamy.

Vasantha came with her maid Selvi akka. "Vaa ma Vasantha, nalla irukkiya?"

"Nalla irukken na, nee epdi irukka? Anni neenga nalla irukeengala?"

"Naanga ellarum nalla irukkom" replied Azhagu.

Poorna came and held Vasantha's hand "Vaa ma, unakaga thaan wait pannitu irunthom, vaanga Selvi akka".

Pazhanisamy said "Paravalla Vasantha, Selvi irukkarthu romba helpfula irukkum".

"Amam annan, nee call panni help-ku Selvi vantha nalla irukkum-nu sonnathum, naanum avala dress ellam pack pannitu vara solliten"

"Nallathu ma, sari sari ellarum kilambalam" urged Pazhanisamy.

They all sat as pairs while Vasantha, Selvi akka, Thiruna and Kavya sat in the last seat of the van. 

Azhagu, Pazhanisamy in the front, Ravi and Sudha with Appu also sat in the front but on the other side of Azhagu and Pazhani, while Magesh and Poorna sat in the middle and no one was sitting on the other side of their seat. 

The driver light a camphor on coconut and broke it in front of the van to remove any negative vibration and started the driving.

Poorna was sitting by the window. Magesh smiled and held Poorna's left hand in his hands. "Jollya irukku illa?" he asked.

Poorna smiled back and replied in one word "Amam".

So many memories came back to her like an ocean. Every year, she usually sits by the side of Ravi when they go to Kuladeivam temple although the journey was shorter for them in the past. She is long gone from her romantic feelings towards Ravi, but these memories still bothered her. 

Appu was sitting on Sudha's lap and tried to hold Ravi's fingers. Ravi was looking outside through the window and was thinking something deeply. Sudha noticed this and wondered if he has some memories about Poorna. She didn't want to interrupt him. The sooner he faces his demons, it is better for their future she thought. 

Pazhani "Enna Azhagu? Ennavo oru madiri irukka? Eppavum kuladeivam koiluku porathunna santhoshama mudhal aala kilambuva, aana intha varusham un mugathula oru kalaiye illaiye?"

"Onnum illainga, ella pullaingalum santhoshama iruntha naanum santhoshama irukka poren"

"Athellam santhoshama irupanga, nee Ravi, Sudhava ninachu feel panrenu puriyuthu, aana poosari sonnatha yosichu paaru, antha pillai Surendharoda aathma santhi adaiyama namma pullainga lifea start pannina athu nallatha sollu? Vendam Azhagu, oru varusham mudinju thithi kudutha piragu start pannatume"

Azhagu was silent for few seconds and said "Amanga, neenga solrathu thaan sari, chumma ithaiye ninachu feel pannama aaga vendiyatha paakanum, ippo enna? Epdiyum Raviku Sudha, Sudhavuku Ravinu aagiyachu, ava thaan enga poida pora? Innum 4 maasam, apram avanga life nalla irukka poguthu"

"Avlo thaan, ippo nalla padiya koiluku poi pongal vachutu varuvom, ellam nallathave nadakkum" said Pazhanisamy.

They reached Vizhuppuram around 1pm. Driver took a turn in a village and parked the van under a tree in a quiet place.

"Vaanga saptudalam, ammadi Sudha, Poorna, rendu perum naama pack pannina lunch ellarukum share panni kudunga ma"

"Saringa ma"

They shared the lemon rice to everyone. Thiruna and Magesh opened the crisps pockets and distributed. Then everyone had thayir sadham with pickles.

Vasantha said "Intha madiri gramathula ipdi marathadiyula ellarum senthu ukkanthu sapidura santhoshame thani thaan, illa anna?"

"Amam Vasantha, Chennai vantha piragu thaan ithoda arumai innum adhigamave teriyuthu"

"Athu mattum illa na, plastic plates eduthutu varama kooda 5, 10 ponalum paravallanu intha paaku mara thattu order pannina paathiya, athu evlo nallatha pochu illa"

"Naan enga ma panninen, namma Kavya thaan idea kudutha, Thiruna order panninan"

Thiruna said "Appa, athu mattum illa, intha madiri travel pannum pothu kaiyoda oru chinna carry bag vachukanum, naama kudikura bottles, illa carton juice box, plates, illa vera entha waste irunthalum antha bin bag la pottu vachukittona pora vazhiyula kuppai thotti iruntha pottudalam, illana naama pora destination-la kuppai thottila pottudalam, neraiya per carla, busla pogum pothu apdiye window vazhiya thooki podama ipdi sethu vachu allocated binla potta namma naadum suthama irukkum".

"Paathiya Azhagu, Thiruna pesartha, ivan poruppillaama suthuraanu paatha evlo poruppa yosikkiran paathiya, ippo thaanda nee vaathiyar pillai madiri pesi irukka"

"Hello innaiku thaan neenga Thirunavuku appa madiri pesi irukkeenga" replied Thiruna and everyone laughed.

Once everyone finished the lunch, they started the journey again. Because of the breeze, Poorna felt bit sleepy and laid her head on Magesh shoulder and started to sleep. Ravi and Sudha turned around to see everyone and noticed this. Sudha smiled and held Ravi's hands. Ravi became surprised and looked at her. Sudha whispered "Naamalum santhoshama thaan Ravi irukka porom, oru 4 months poruthukonga".

Ravi smiled back and said "Appuva kudu, naan vachikiren"

Sudha handed Appu to him.
